Re: Changing handle bars

I just got a flat drag bar and the one I bought does clear the side panels with the stock switch gear, but just barely. It is a wide bar (33”). Most drag bars are 28” and I’m sure will interfere. The one I got was an LSL wide drag bar from revival cycle. They are expensive but they do fit.

Re: Changing handle bars

You will need shorter clutch and throttle cables if going to flat drag bars. Motion pro custom shop is quick and reasonably priced for near OEM quality if you don’t want to make your own. Pulling the wiring through the old bars is a pain. Flat drag bars may have clearance issue with the side covers .

Re: Hub o-rings

Now I’m confused. I also have my rear wheel off and assumed the shown O ring goes on the male spline. Where are you putting one in the “wheel” side ?

Clutch adjust cover Gasket / O ring

I’m working on a 1977 Gl1000. The square O-ring under the clutch adjust cover came out in several pieces. I can’t find a part number for this anywhere. Can anyone help with this ? Is an O-ring suitable? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
