Oil leak from?
Giving the scoot a wash this morning and detected an oil leak. I can't be sure where it is coming from though Does this look like anything any of you have seen? looks like it might be coming from the alternator front seal, but not sure.

Dealer Won’t Work On MY Bike
I purchased a used ’03 GL1800. It was a little reluctant to start at times but ran well after it did start so I decided to take it to the local dealer to have it “tuned up”. They refused to even look at it saying “We don’t work on anything over eight years old.” I was flabbergasted. I stared checkin...

Re: Front Brake Pads uneven wear
I was unaware of the fact of front and rear working together, mostly because the bike has been triked. Would have been nice if I'd posted that in the first place but I didn't think it would matter since I thought the front and rear were independent, which they are now. So, I assume that since I'm on...

Front Brake Pads uneven wear
I decided to check my front brake pads on a recently purchased '03 GL1800. (I call left and right sides as I'm sitting on the bike, looking forward.) I pulled the right side and found them worn way down. The outer pad actually showing some metal and the inner pad not that far gone but still thin. I ...

Champion Rear Solid Axle
I have a Champion solid axle trike kit on the back of a 2003 GL1800. The seals are leaking in the differential and the outer seals of the axle. I'm told that Champion is going out of business, I don't know, but there is no way to get a call back from them, that much I know. Does anybody know what br...

Chrome rims for the trike
I'm considering putting some chrome wheels on the trike but, in the past, I've seen products where the chrome looked good for about a year and then started pealing, bubbling and going to rust. Anybody out there with experience with wheels that knows of a good company that sells a quality product? I’...

Heat shield for leg
When riding with my feet on the highway pegs, I find it easy to burn my lower inside calf on the corner of the CYLINDER HEAD COVER. Does anyone know of a heat shield that is made to prevent this? Yes, I know, keeping my legs spread further apart would help but the beauty of the ride takes over my at...

"Wasn't aware they did, ever???????????????????????????????"
That's what I'm finding out, and I'm stunned. Who'da thunk it? Top tier technology abounds on a Goldwing but no LED headlights.

Mechanic needed in S.W. Florida for GL1800
This last Easter weekend I bought an '03 Goldwing trike. Illusion Blue. After buying, I find out there is no place in my area (Fort Myers, FL) that will work on a Goldwing older than eight years. The local Honda dealer will not even talk to me. I took it to a local trike shop where I bought it and I...

Re: Continuing starting problems
That's right, it cranks over but won't start. Usually these cranks but will not start problems can be intermittent during diagnosing too. Here are some things to check for, and I would do it in the order listed: - if able to start, while running ... tap the kill switch and then with your fingers gr...

Re: Continuing starting problems
After the air filter was changed it started first time every time and ran great for three weeks or so. I don't believe it is a continuation of the same problem. I guess the main thrust of my question is how the kill switch affects the fuel injectors. I don't believe it does. I think the kill switch ...

Continuing starting problems
I’ve purchased a used ’03 GL1800 this last Easter weekend. It’s had a starting problem the whole time. I dug down and found the air filter partially eaten by squirrels. I know it was squirrels because of all the nuts and nut shells on top of the filter. After cleaning that mess the bike started firs...

Push Button for storage
The gas filler door needs a key to open it, but there are aftermarket push buttons that eliminate the need for a key. Has anyone seen the same thing for the right side fairing pocket? If I want something locked up I can use the saddle bag or trunk. I'd like to utilize the pocket when going down the ...

Source for Goldwing bolts and screws
I'm going through a previously owned 2003 GL1800 and finding many bolts, screws etc, that are the wrong size with a mix of slot head, hex head, socket head etc. I would like to get everything back to spec. but looking for replacements is not going well. Babbitt's and others have them, but at $3.00 E...

'03 GL1800 with a Champion Trike kit. There is a part rattling around back there. It looks to be aluminum, finned, about four inches square, has heavy wires going to it from the battery.
