Re: CSC Escapade Air Shocks Leak?

The Monroe air shocks did not work out. I bought the Monroe 58275 coil over shocks instead, and made a spring pre-loader spacer for them to handle the weight of the load.

I solved the problem for $60.00

Re: Trailer Buyers Beware

The problem with claiming it was home built is that some states want to see the receipts for the materials and the parts. If you cannot produce those, there is a problem. also, it does no good to claim that another trailer was cannibalized to make a new one, because they will want you to identify th...

Re: Trailer Electrical Wiring

Just for the record, it is a three wire to two wire converter. It combines the bike's independent turn and brake circuit for each side into ONE wire that acts as both the turn signal and brake light on each side of the trailer. The other two wires are the running lights and the ground. They pass thr...

Re: CSC Escapade Air Shocks Leak?

I spent ALL DAY installing the Monroe air shocks. What a $%^& chore! Still, they are installed. Now, I do not believe they are THE solution, because I still have an issue to resolve. See, air shocks are meant to ASSIST springs or suspension, and not BE the suspension. So my first test ride was ... w...

Re: CSC Escapade Air Shocks Leak?

I called California Sidecar about the air shocks on my Escapade trailer failing to hold air AGAIN. They are "aware" of the air shock leaking issue, and they no longer offer the air shocks for sale, or the rebuild kits either. Ooooo-kaaaaayyyyy ... so then , since this HAS been an issue since 2012 th...

Re: What a scam!

Remember that eBay has sellers fees and if you use PayPal to collect the money, PayPal ALSO gets a piece of the pie. They also have to cover shipping if it is not included. It is unrealistic to expect an eBay seller to sell the item for the same price that YOU sell it to them. Lesson here: If people...

Re: Darkside Tech: Using Car Tires on a Motorcycle Rim

The cutaway view of car tires vs motorcycle tires on motorcycle wheels is misleading, and a lie. You CANNOT cut a slice out of a tire and snap it into a segment of a rim, and simulate how that tire will seat when it is PRESSURIZED. The horrible, life threatening GAP they display in the photo complet...

Intro and a Request for Quick Help

Hi, I am 61, living in Franklin, KY., USA. I ride a new 2018 GL1800 DCT. I am prepping for an extended motorcycle tour of North America. Six months, 30,000+ miles, up to Alaska, across Canada, and through most of the lower 48. I am looking for my own solution to the TPMS programming issue. Honda dea...
