Re: Landing Gear
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorcycle-Landing-Gear-Chrome-Goldwing/dp/B0C1J2PVCD?th=1 https://glklanding.com/ I removed my trike kit and fitted this to my 1500, to my surprise, you do actually need to put your feet on the ground for a few seconds as you lift the landing gear or the bike is tilted with...

Re: Landing Gear
I also bought these, an exact copy but made in china, much cheaper than GLK but good quality and as I bought them in paris, no extra import taxes or postage for a heavy parcel (collected in person) (I live in France). However, I removed my bolt on trike kit and fitted the Landing Gear, only to find ...

Re: Starter won't stop with key off
This is common on the 1500's, mine's done it a few times, it's the first solenoid from the battery on the 1500, but I don't know about the 1800. It seems to be because the wings have reverse, which uses the same solenoid to start and reverse, these solenoids were never meant to engage for that long ...

Re: Portable Air Compressor Review (VIDEO)
Evetually binned my original one with the sad battery, bought another from Amazon, this one cordless or corded whichever you want, battery still full after many months with the added feature of corded if it is flat, great item and cheaper than the original useless one.

here has my clutch fluid gone, the rubber membrain in the top of the Master cylinder was porous and soaked up the clutch fluid like a sponge.

Re: Landing Gear
Hi Rambozo, you're not actually suposed to ride with the wheels down unless you're crawling along in a traffic jam, you lower them a few seconds before you stop and raise them a few seconds after pull away, it's for rideres that would normally have to give up riding because the bike is too heavy whi...

Landing Gear
After my friend droped his new Goldwing DCT for the 3rd time, he showed me a website in France selling Landing gear, made in China but looks quite sturdy. So we went to Paris and saw it attached to their demo bike, has 6" wheels with solid tyres that look replaceable, electrically operated thro...

I wonder how many copyrights they have infringed, suppose you can't sue anyone in china from outside china.

Re: Embarrassing Fixes
I did the same thing as wing admin with the kill switch. I'd just bought a new Vectrix VX1 high power electric maxi scooter, I got lost, outstretched my arm to program the sat nav and inadvertently hit the kill switch with my sleeve, of couse, doesn't have an engine so nothing changed 'til I tried t...

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
Mystery definitely solved. After changing the clutch master cylinder diaphram, 2 weeks on, the fluid level has not dropped at all. I left the old one soaking in brake fluid, half in and half out IMG_20240525_140338969_MFNR.jpg The fluid level in the pot it was in dropped just like the M/C, as you ca...

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
Hole was perfectly clear and no peeling paint at the bottom of the engine as in wing admins video.
But I am going to replace the slave seal asap, just for peace of mind.
Thanks for your input

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
I think I have solved the mystery. The diaphram under the M/C cap has become porous, it soaked up fluid in the master cylinder like a sponge, when I removed the lid it was in the bottom of the reservoir, all screwed up, distorted and swollen to twice the size. I took it out and dried it, left it on ...

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
I only ever used DOT4, until recently, no other fluid was available in the shop I always get it from and the front brake came from the same pot of fluid and thats ok. Guess I'll never know what caused it. I guessed the float was to reduce frothing, but didnt realise it would get sucked down when the...

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
UPDATE. I left the bike in the garage all night with a G glamp holding the clutch lever tight to the handlebar to keep the line under pressure so that any leak should be detected, also white shop towel under the bike. 8 hours later no stains on the shop towel, I'm now convinced there is no leak. On ...

Re: Where has my clutch fluid gone
Thanks Guys, Yes when I rebuilt my master cylinder, I put in a whole new kit and thoroughly washed it out so it was all shiny and clean, sis the same with the slave using OEM parts. Don't know how you can inspect the whole clutch line, can't even see most of it, anyway, I've marked the level of the ...

Where has my clutch fluid gone
Mystery, where has my clutch fluid gone. Clutch showed no signs of a problem, just by chance looked in the master cylinder sight glass and it looked empty, clutch still working perfectly. Only rebuilt master and slave cylinders 15 months ago, no leaks, just thought I should after 27 years. Today, Di...
