Evetually binned my original one with the sad battery, bought another from Amazon, this one cordless or corded whichever you want, battery still full after many months with the added feature of corded if it is flat, great item and cheaper than the original useless one.

Hole was perfectly clear and no peeling paint at the bottom of the engine as in wing admins video.

But I am going to replace the slave seal asap, just for peace of mind.

The diaphram under the M/C cap has become porous, it soaked up fluid in the master cylinder like a sponge, when I removed the lid it was in the bottom of the reservoir, all screwed up, distorted and swollen to twice the size.
