Re: Radio static when brakes are applied only on FM stero

If you figure this out please report back and let us know what was causing the issue. I find this intriguing. Thanks

Re: cb radio alternative

I'm looking for an antenna to connect to the mobile base of the 75-822 in order to extend my range. I was wondering what others were using and how they are connect to the bike. You can connect the Midland to your CB antenna if you have one. You will need 2 adapters one of these https://www.sierra-m...

Re: Radio static when brakes are applied only on FM stero

Yes I was trying everything. I took it to the dealer on the first oil change and they told me yeah you got interference. Well can you fix it. And as you can see it's not fixed. I will look at the wires one more time and that might be it. When I first got home with it the rear speakers weren't playi...

Re: Radio static when brakes are applied only on FM stero

I think I would check around the antenna for a bare brake light wire or wire that is running on top of the antenna wire. Also check your sockets for corrosion of loose fitting bulb.

Re: Bluetooth communication - keep it simple

What we REALLY want is very simple, and I fail understand why it is so difficult to create. I simply want a way to send signals between the bike and the helmets via Bluetooth (or other means). This does not need to have any functionality other than to send the output from the bike to the speakers i...

Re: Intercom volume

I would follow Kwthom's recommendations above and if it is the wind noise on the mic try the leather glove finger trick and see it that doesn't help. If it does you can buy wind socks made from plastic and has a hole in one side that will look better then the glove finger. If the mic doesn't fix the...

Re: Intercom volume

Anybody complain about hearing you when you talk on the CB? Have you checked to make sure your mic isn't 180* out? I know I've gotten in a hurry and not checked my mic only to have others tell me they can just barely hear me. When I check sure enough my mic is 180 out. Another thing that might help ...

Re: Hello fellow wingers

I wish I had your problem of my wife wanting to ride. She rides once in a while but not very often. I don't know how many passengers I've had over the years but it really isn't much different then riding solo, as Denverwinger mentioned. When I have a new passenger I tell them that I'm in charge and ...

I'm just curious, are you having the problem hearing the CB over the external speakers or the head set?

I went the last Saturday of January to the local chapters monthly meeting. I had a good time, everyone was friendly and a lot of joking around. There is a free 4 month trial period you can sign up for, I may do that.

I also have the Tacfoam and have not had an issue. Mine came with the tether, just in case, but I have ridden over some pretty bumpy roads and the phone hasn't move at all. It is easy to take on and off even with the tether.

Re: Valve Stem Help Needed

I'm getting ready to replace my front tire. I usually change out the valve core at the same time. I just stopped by an independent bike shop asked for a 90* valve core for my 1800. He walked over to a self and picked one up. I also got a set of pads as well just in case. Make sure they won't interf...

Re: Helmet Storage Idea - Helmet Hitch

We have a small table with a top and bottom shelf, my wife's uncle made years ago. I use it to store my helmets on. I have a modular helmet for cooler and one for warmer weather. The current season helmet goes on the top shelf and the other one goes on the bottom. I also have one helmet out in the s...

Re: Bluetooth unit

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are wanting to do. If you just want to hook your phone up to listen to music (like an mp3 player) Then the J&M Digial music play may be what you want. It plugs into the CD wiring on the bike and you can BT you phone to the unit, Plug in a thumb drive or plug ...

Re: What is Cupping? Tire Recommendations.

Rednaxs60 did a very good job explaining cupping so I won't rehash that. My front tire on the trike is cupped and I'll be replacing it this next week. I had Avon tires on my Dyna and Sportster and loved them. So I'm putting an Avon Chrome tire made for the Trike on and will probably use Dyna-beads (...

I haven't checked it exactly but I can get around 180 -190 miles on a tank before I start looking for a gas station. One of these days I'll take an exact measurement.

Re: Compare spyder with Honda goldwing trike

There was a post not long ago on one of the forums I visit that talked about this topic. I was surprised at how many folks had both a Goldwing trike and a Spider. The general conses was they liked the Goldwing over the Spider. That being said I have a friend who went from a BMW to a Spider and she l...

Re: Ipod

At some point Apple changed how you connect an audio cable to and Ipod, Ipad, and Iphone. You plug it in to the charging port and then plug your aux cord into the cable. I have one that allows me to listen to music and also charge at the same time. I got it at Wally world, not expensive. https://www...

Re: GL1800 CB antenna

I checked the difference between the OEM and aftermarket Antenna's and the only difference I found is the Aftermarket uses studs and nuts to hold it on and the OEM uses bolts. Of course the OEM has the red Antenna tip where the aftermarket one has and Aluminum tip, but that is the part you are missi...
