Re: Clutch Kill Switch?

The clicks mentioned were they key.
I started listening when the clutch was engaged and couldn’t find the second click.
Took that switch off and cleaned then made sure it was in good contact with the clutch handle.
(Checked my wiring while I had it out)
Works like a charm now.
Much appreciation!

Re: Clutch Kill Switch?

Thanks for the reply’s!
I do have the manual and will test the switches next.
Wiring isn’t a bad idea either-need to make sure I have them in correct.
Appreciate your assistance.

Clutch Kill Switch?

Hello everyone! Should be a quick question (I hope) Rebuilt master slave cylinder and the master cylinder on my 98 Gl1500. Everything is working good except now the only way I can get it to start is if it’s in neutral. Even when the kickstand is up pulling the clutch handle in does not allow me to s...

Re: GoldwingHID headlight failed

Honestly, having had the GoldwingHID kit and the LEDs now available, I would rip it out and replace with LEDs. They are far superior. Thanks everyone. I went with plan LED My kit came today from SoCal and I couldn’t believe the difference in the simplicity of the wiring. Compared to what I am takin...

Re: How to remove and replace your rear wheel

I know this post has been around for awhile but I have to give a big “Thank you!” To Wing Admin for the step by step. It was my first time replacing a tire on one of these but-amazingly-except for a couple of add on features that had to be moved around the whole process worked and I test rode tonigh...

Re: road noise?

No, calipers do not have that type of adjustment. However, there is info on this site about cleaning the pistons and the complete assembly, tear down and reassembly. That might be all you need. WingAdmin did a great presentation with pics. Check the technical forum for the info. It is not too hard ...

GoldwingHID headlight failed

Greetings! Great forum. I recently became the proud owner of a well kept 98 GL1500. The owner before me upgraded the headlights with a goldwinghid plug and play kit and I have had my right side headlamp bulb go on and off then quit completely. I tried to track down info on the kit but it seems that ...

Re: Tire Replacement

Wow You guys are on the ball! I went today and ordered two Dunlop Elite 4 Taking advantage of the rebate while it runs through the 31st of August. Not quite up to changing out the tires on the rim myself so will take the wheel in to be done. Went ahead and got all the necessary brake pads and drive ...

Re: Tire Replacement

Thank you
Helps making a decision
The date code is past 6 years and even though the tire looks brand new I’m going to err on the side of caution and just replace both with new.
I appreciate your time and assistance.

Tire Replacement

Greetings All! My first post and brand new to the forum so advance apologies as I learn my steps. I recently realized my dream of owning a goldwing and found a 98’ GL 1500 SE for a price I could live with and in well kept condition. Since then I of course have immersed myself in any and all basic ma...
