Re: Used Prices on GL 1500s in the toilet

Sorry to disagree with most, but to many buyers, the 1500 is the pick of the litter. The earlier 1800s had issues that many potential buyers have heard about. Many others place a higher value on the carrying capacities of the 1500s trunk and saddlebags. Still others value the more ample space for t...

Re: How to change your radio lights to LEDs

Good catch. I've never actually seen the GW bulb up close like that. I'm wondering if I can transplant the LED element into the GW bulb holder. Reminds me of working on Christmas tree lights. I will let you know if I succeed. I would be very interested in knowing if you do ... that would be the bes...

Re: How to change your radio lights to LEDs

I seriously doubt they will work. Even if they are physically the correct size, the electrical contact is on the wrong side of the circuit board. The contacts need to be on the inside of the board, not the backside. Study the photo of an actual replacement light to see what I mean. Good catch. I've...

Re: How to change your radio lights to LEDs

I'm pretty sure these might be a little easier. Probably not available when this article was started. These are LED replace dash and instrument lights for 1990s and 2000s Civic and Accords. I have them in stock for my cars and will give them a try in the Wing. Available on fleBay from Asia cheap. P...

These guys supposedly carry replacement connectors: http://cycleterminal.com/

You could also use a something like a Posi-Connect for the offending cable(s).
Thanks Andy for this site.... I didn't know a site like this exists .... thanks for the heads up

Re: gasket on the right saddlebag...

If a site does exist that shows the wire harness you want, I doubt that there would be a harness available. It would be simpler to repair what you have I think. However, if you need a site for parts, try this one: https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/l/hon/5053e7c0f870021c54be2d72/2000-gl1500se-a-part...

Re: gasket on the right saddlebag...

I've changed the front pads on mine by just removing the front half of the fender and the brace, and then remove the wheel from the forks. Calipers can stay bolted to the fork legs. that's a good way for sure... I had a problem doing that... not knowing what the PO has done or didn't do and there a...

I discovered the problem... Im looking for a wiring harness to replace a broken connector and green copper pins... if...

Re: gasket on the right saddlebag...

I have successfully used a hand impact driver with a common bit in it to remove the plug in the past. Impact Driver and Bits.jpg After the plug is out, you may not have an issue with the pad pin. I need to get one for sure.... a question ... do you know of a site that has part numbers for the diffe...

Re: gasket on the right saddlebag...

Fortunately, I have not encountered this problem with my saddlebags. Can you tell if it is just an adhesive type of installation or is that seal placed into a well and kept in place by friction? Well, either way, I think you can fix it with weather trip cement from the auto parts store. You will ne...

Re: Audio only in the right headset ....

When I have had similar problems it has been the cords between the bike and the headset. If you need to have the radio itself looked at I recommend Sierra Electronics: https://www.sierra-mc.com/radioservice.asp I didnt and should have... but forgot... but I order a new lower cord from Cyclemax and ...

Re: 1990 Honda Goldwing GL No power at Key

I have a similar problem, but I fairly certain I know what it is... When I start the bike ('97 GL1500SE), occasionally, the dash does not come to life or if it does the radio doesn't work, or some other lights do not work, etc. When I jiggle the key, sometimes that fixes it, or I turn the key and r...
