Re: GL1500 Alternator Warning Light
If you're putting the warning light in the dash in the same spot as I did, you could easily make your own insert: /images/Review/GL1500_Alternator_Warning_Light/GL1500_Alternator_Warning_Light_08.jpg Cut a small piece of translucent scrap red plastic to fit, then use a P-Touch Labelmaker with some ...

Re: New changes for 2021 GL1800 - finally!
I find it kind of funny that several posters have noted that the new trunk "...looks like an afterthought...". Erm, that's probably because it **IS** an afterthought. Honda is responding to all the (deserved, IMO) flak it has received over lack of trunk space in what for them is probably ...

Re: New changes for 2021 GL1800 - finally!
The 2021 GL1800's are beginning to roll into dealers. I'm not sure about the new trunk: the old trunk, while small, did fit with the lines of the original design. This new, larger trunk...to me, really doesn't fit with the lines. It looks like a Goldwing with "too much junk in the trunk" ...

I receive phone calls and listen to music and get GPS directions all on my hardwire headset through the radio using my iPhone ... the link i...

Re: How often do you use your centerstand
Every time I get off the bike and every time is... gas stops... maintenance ... Parking I always said 'every time' I get off, but I did not mention that includes stopping for gas, a bite to eat. IF, the bike is stopped and I'm not on it, it goes on the Center Stand. Thank you AZgl ... I forgot two ...

Re: New changes for 2021 GL1800 - finally!
Good to see that Honda has increased the trunk on the 21's ... now if the add more room in the Saddle Bags and offer more Wind Protection they would be back in the touring motorcycle biz ... I do a lot of 2 to 5 days rides and storages plays a big part in my decision ... so I keep my 1500 for it doe...

Re: 1500 vs 1800
I was thinking of moving from the 1500 until I got the opportunity to borrow a friends 1800 for a weekend. My Aspencade is now twenty one years old (wow), but the ride on mine, for me, was a lot better than his three year old one. I liked all the gizmos on the newer bike, but I spend a lot of time ...

Re: Knee Replacement Surgery...
I waited until I couldn’t tolerate the pain while standing and walking. Now that it’s reached that point, I also have pain at rest. I’m scheduled to have both knees done on January 21. I expect to be ready to ride my 1500 by May. You'll make it... and wished you had it done earlier ... Myself I put...

Re: Fifth Annual GoldwingDocs Gathering: August 25 - 29, 2021
I'm up for Arkansas. Anybody been here: Harrison is a bit north of the areas I’ve ridden. I’ve done quite a bit of the Ouchita and some of the Ozark NFS. I’m up for any of the Appalachia area since the furthest east we’ve done so far was our recent Natchez trip. I also didn’t intend to start any ea...

Re: Fifth Annual GoldwingDocs Gathering: August 25 - 29, 2021
I second that, or at least a gathering somewhere toward the middle of the country... Our western members have a two to four day drive to reach the event, depending on how far west they are coming from.... Seattle is 2600 miles from Wise VA, it's 1300 for me. Agree... somewhere in the middle would b...
