Wing Admin.
Loved the info on plugs. But I have one unrelated question. You have a set of air horn you talked about. I have a set I want to put on but could not find a place to put it or the compressor. Can you tell me how you did yours.?

Re: LED turn signal problem

Where is the signal flasher on a 1993 gl1500 Aspencade? Is it under the trunk? My flashers are too fast after changing to led lights. I have a relay that will fix the problem if you have all or some led lights replaced.

Terryt
Can you show me a schematic or give me more info. On what parts to get. I thought of another btry but not sure the best way to use it. I have changed most of the bulbs to LEDs but not all yet. Main draw on mine i think the headlight, and two small radio amps.

When i unplug sensor float and read voltage i have about 4.3 volts. Should i read 12 volts? It comes from relay 3. But i have not found refer...

Re: Fuel Gauge etc., etc.

Yes a cross reference to another fuel gauge that would work. Its not the sensor float. I had it out and checked it. If you raise the float while connected the fuel gauge reads 1/4 full. Just like when you short the pin wires. Which again should read full. Im looking to replace with a new gauge but n...

Re: Replacing relay #3

I'm having fuel gauge problems. I'm almost sure the gauge is bad. Does anyone know what the voltage is at the fuel sensor is suppose to be. Im getting about 4 volts. They relay is 12v.
The temp gauge seams fine. Sensor is good. Just trying to verify voltage is good or not.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: How to check 7 volt regulator

I don't think its the sensor but I'm going to pull it, clean it and ohm it just to make sure it's set right.
Wish it was but the test i have done leads me to think it's the gauge. Hope im wrong. I can find that part if i need one.

Re: Fuel Gauge etc., etc.

I think my gauge is bad. Is there a way to repair it or find a sub that will fit? Its an 88 gl1500. I had to change out all bulbs and repair plastic. It was working before i took it off. I dont know if it was accurate however. I did the test on gauge and when unplugged at sensor it showed empty. I s...

Re: How to check 7 volt regulator

Ok great info. So just to make sure i dont short something out, I disconnect sensor and ground one or both pins that feeds the sensor to ground. I had about 4 volts across these two pins. When i disconnected them the gauge did drop to empty so now if i can just get it to read full. So ... Short both...

What should it read 7vdc ? I also shorted the pins and the gauge read the same about 1/4 tank. I've looked ...

Re: 1500 speaker upgrade

Spiral....
Use a 9volt btry across speaker. If the cone moves out, the way you had the btry tells you the pos. And neg side. If the wires are not typed hook it up and watch the cone on the base beat if the cone pops out on beat then that is the right polarity.
