Re: Coil removal - question on coolant reserve tank
Just a follow up in case someone searches this topic in the future. Once the coolant reserve tank came out, removing the coils and wires is pretty easy, take photos of the wire routing before removal unless you have the service manual. I ordered these cheapish ebay coils 2020-05-17_16-35-55.jpg Mark...

Re: Coil removal - question on coolant reserve tank
This is my first goldwing, it was running, but I measured MPG on 2 tanks and realized something pretty wrong (20mpg). Tested spark at each plug, cylinders 5 and 6 were not firing. Checked the resistances of the secondarys. 1-2 was fine about 22k, 3-4 was the same, but 5-6 was 17.9k I had no clue if ...

Re: Coil removal - question on coolant reserve tank
That helped, thanks. Got the tank out, and you are right about changing all 3 coils while I am in there.

Coil removal - question on coolant reserve tank
1990 SE - I am replacing a coil, first time digging this far into the bike. The carbs are unseated, and I have removed the bolt holding the coolant reserve tank, but it won't pull out, doesn't seem like enough clearance to pull out the top? Is there a trick to remove the coolant reserve tank? Thanks...

Where to tap into brake light circuit
Hoping someone can save me some time, where can I find the easiest place to tap into the brake light circuit? just want to get the signal to an LED light controller.
Under the seat preferable, but I can find it in the trunk if that is best.

Thanks.

Re: GL1500 Left Side Fairing Inner Cover removal help
There's a CB Radio installation manual right here on the site - https://goldwingdocs.com/Docs/Honda%20Goldwing%20GL1500%20CB%20Installation%20Manual-DDF6B.pdf It might give some clues as to what's holding the radio to the cover... Huge help, that answered my question and has some nice diagrams of r...

GL1500 Left Side Fairing Inner Cover removal help
First time removing the plastics, did pretty well, but the left side fairing inner cover is stuck on the CB Radio. I don't have the right manual showing how the CB separates from the cover. Is there something to unscrew, or pry loose? Hesitant to just pull harder. Everything else described in image ...
