I have used Supertech 15w-40 on several bikes, and have it in my GL1500 right now.

I did not need a new bolt when I installed my shift pivot, but I did need a new spacer, a 10mm deep socket was the right length, so I did not have to cut the spacer than came with the heel toe/floorboard kit.

The rounded part goes to the master, flat side goes into the brass bushing.

You also need to get the lip of the rubber cover into the grove on the pin.
