What I dont understand is why there even has to be a law.
I wear one while quading too. A buddy didnt but started when he rides with me. Recently tumbled his machine , cracked a rib, sore and a pretty good scar on his helmet.

Re: 2023 GL1800 Announced

Im sure the 23s are stunning to ride clutch or no so it comes down to rider preference. If the 23s have a farm tractor 5 speed like my 89 1500 I might consider an auto. Totally disgusted with the box a parts banging around in there especially going the 1-2 shift. For the most part I very much enjoy ...

Re: To salvage or not to salvage

Have you thought about doing both? I probably older than you so riding is the priority for me while I still can. In your shoes Id think about getting a replacement bike so I can ride and start on the "project bike". That way you could sell which ever bike after repairs are made, miss no ri...

Re: No power at all

More info, like last time it ran, have you done any checks?, maintenance?
Battery condition, age?
I'd start with the simple stuff like battery voltage. Have you tried boosting it?
I've left the key on accessory and killed the battery more than once,,,,

Out today for about 8 hrs in these beauty mountains. Making 2 separate posts so as long. About 1/2 hr west of the house on highway 3 is the Creston/Salmo Summit. At 5800 ft. nowhere near the highest but highest pavement in Canada and new pavement to boot! The small lake and cabin up there I've share...

I've often thought of a 1/2 cover for the seat, bars and gauges. It would roll up on a roller mounted under the trunk above the licence plate, but its nevef been more than a thought.

Re: What's Happening Today?

My riding season is coming to a close with about 2 weeks left on the bikes road insurance. Spent a few hrs on the east shore of the Kootenay Lake today. Found a couple neat spots. Pilot bay has a hike/boat in campsite,, I just stopped by the bay for a coffee. On the way back through a fancy cabin ar...

Re: What's Happening Today?

Came home with a sore butt today, on the bike for 6 hours. Little bit of everything over a couple passes, about 16 miles of logging road, great little side roads and road construction seemed to be everywhere!!! Over the Creston/Salmo pass, turned south to the Nelway border crossing. Right at the cro...
