You are supposed to have an Oil Lock on one side only, I can't remember about the lengths and spacers, Bill

Went and Bought a Harley

I bought my 97 1500 couple years ago, put about 40,000 km on it, and had a great ride. This Forum is awesome and I used it alot. Thanks Admin. I went and bought a 2007 Harley Ultra Classic, will ride it for a few years and see how that goes. My 97 is up for sale and if I buy a Wing again I will try ...

Re: cruise control question (new owner)

Mine was worn slightly, this allowed the clutch lever to be sloppy, and the switches don't work properly. A new one for a couple bucks, 5 minutes later, and th...

It is a bit tricky, but have some patience, I envisioned that I have to lift something at the end of the drive shaft and that worked for me

Re: How to: ride your bike without using the clutch at all..

When I was about 20, I was riding a 400 Honda, At work I cut my right arm really bad and could hardly use my right hand, What I did was get the bike rolling with my right hand, buckled over the tank to reach the throttle, once I was rolling I switched and used my left hand on the throttle, No cluthc...

Re: Gl1500 fork question

I did not know that there was only one , and I could not find one to buy so I built one, Now I have an Oil Lock in both forks, and I don't want to take it apart , ruin the seals, Buy new ones and re assemble, ect. I have go...

Re: '89 goldwing 1500 fork disaster

I could not find to buy an Oil Lock , so I build one and installed it in the other fork.
Should I dissassemble it and remove the second Oil Lock??
or should I leave it and ride, It feels fine when I am riding now.

Re: '89 goldwing 1500 fork disaster

Hey Virgilmobile, you say that it only has an Oil Lock one one side, Mine was like that and I could not see a reason for it, and could not buy one so I built one and installed it, Do you know why there is only one in the front suspension and would/will there be any adverse effects fo installing two?...

I tried the same as Sempai My bolt was worn, and both the kick stand and the frame were worn, I welded all the worn pieces and ground them to what I thought was normal , now my bike sits up straight, (NOTE) when I worked in a truck shop, they were very twitchy about welding on the frames as the Stat...
