Re: fog lights
This fuse block fits nicely on the left side (looking forward from the back) of the trunk. Still get 2 helmets in the trunk:fuse block 1.jpgDrill a couple of holes in the trunk for wiring access:Wiring Cleanup 1.jpgYou can see where I run the wire through to and out of the trunk. Re: fog lights
Thanks again Red! To ensure the lights only come on with ignition on, where would be the best circuit to use. Also, using a fuse panel like the posted pic, any issues with seat interference. The one in the mounting pic looks different, and the square style seems to be a little bulky for that position.

Thanks, none listed and their available stays don't show the retainer. Sent email regarding, since I'm sure most salvage have them but don't pay them any mind.

Re: GL1200 Brake Caliper Mount Clip
Decided to order the rear retainer on Partzilla. Pretty sure I can make them fit properly with some modifying.
Guess I just thought someone out there would have a bad caliper that may have the retainer.
Thanks all.

Re: GL1200 Brake Caliper Mount Clip
Thanks for the link. The link is for the rear caliper which a different width and p/n 43112-445-631. Not sure why Honda would have different retainers, when a slight modification could have worked for both front and rear calipers.

Re: Brake rotor service limit?
Confused! How can it be on inner diameter, but facing away from the wheel?ekcyclerepair wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2009 10:53 am The minimum thickness is normally stamped on the rotor itself. Not 100% sure that it's stamped on your bike, but if it is, it will be on the inner diameter and facing away from the wheel. Ernie

GL1200 Rim Direction
Trying to put on new tires for my 85 Limited. Tires have rotation direction but cannot seem to find a direction for the rims. Looked on spokes, edge but nothing. Just want to ensure previous owner had in fact had the tires put on correctly. Or don't they have them?
Can anyone help me out?

Re: Trunk Reflectors
Thanks! Tried using Gun Wash and soft bristle brass dremel brush. Seems to get most of the silver paint off, at least so light passes through. Doesn't completely remove silver because the inside is all bumpy, assuming for refraction purposes. Should work though. Thanks to all.

Re: fog lights
Red, thanks so much. Really appreciate the help and the great pics.
Maybe you know, if I would run into problems, like warning lights if I convert markers and signals to LEDs, in addition to the LED auxiliary lights?

Re: fog lights
Still looking for advice on wiring my auxiliary driving lights. Driving lights are LED. Plan on using relay to re-do wiring but need info on best approach for battery power. Prefer to source directly from fuse box if possible. Can't find a ACC fuse label in the fusebox.

Grip Adhesive
Looking to install new OEM grips on my 85 Limited. What your opinion of Three Bond 1521 to do the grips?
My experience with Three Bond products has shown good results. Adhesive claims don't mean much to me, since based on experience, they tend to be greatly exaggerated if not fraudulent.

Re: Fairing Side Marker Lights...
Thanks for the pics. I agree the left side is really hard. Think it may be a winter project, and much easier with component removed. Thought a person could always run an accessory with relay to the lights on toggle.
