Re: GL1500 shift shaft stabilizer mod. No drilling.
Just thought I would post this for you guys getting ready to do this and are going to change your seal too. I could not get the shift shaft off. It was hitting on the frame. I read all kinds of major work that you had to do just to get the shaft off. While others came right out. But not mine. Maybe...

Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace
I just finalized the install of the shifter brace, difficult journey. I also replaced the shifter shaft seal at the same time so I had to remove the offset shaft. Re-installing it, I played with the position as when I aligned the opening with the dot on the shaft it ended up being to high coming out...

Need shifter lever
I was finishing up installing the shifter brace on my '96 GL1500, after installing (with new shifter seal) it would not shift up except into neutral. I started taking it back apart to see if there was some interference I did not see before and as I was trying to open up the pinch opening to get the ...

I looks like your contact points are bent. I thought at first they were welded but the video doesn't point to that. Try bending them down when they are in the de-energized position.

Re: Never have I ever....
I pulled the trigger and ordered it. It says it won't be delivered till October so it will be a winter project by the looks of it. I plan on putting it into Aux power, might just splice off the power going to the radio already.

Looking at upgrading/doing something to my radio and with the trend of new phones to not include a headphone jack I have been up in the air of what to do. Especially as I will be upgrading my phone sooner than later. 1) Leave it as is, use my phone and bluetooth headphones 2) Add in the wired aux ca...
