Re: Straight pipes

rejet will cover up the problem he created by removing a perfectly tuned exhaust and replacing with a couple handicap rails. he killed torque, horsepoer, mpg, reliability and longevity. just install the largest jets you can find, then install the next size down, then the next, yada yada. and when yo...

Re: Code 23 Right side o2 heater circuit inop.

If the heater measures in the megohms it is open. You can also power the heater up as was mentioned to check it. It's just a resistive heater, nothing fancy. BTW you can also test the O2 sensor even without the heater, it just will take some time to warm up and might not be accurate at idle. The ex...

Re: gl1200 trying to balance carbs

I used to sync with those gauges, it took a long time and I could get pretty close, but it was a LOT of work, and a lot of guessing game. I ditched those gauges and switched to a Carbtune Pro Carburetor Sync Tool and never looked back. Simple to read, self-damping, and you don't have to worry about...

Re: gl1200 trying to balance carbs

bench sync first. those gauges are no good, and are based off old 50s automobile tech. the green means nothing, only that they are all the same reading is the same. mercury tubes are the bomb, if you can borrow. but, carbs need to be totally functioning correctly and valve adjustment within spec bef...

everything said above, and the exhaust orings and gaskets. when i did mine, i did not replace the clutch slave , a few months later, i had to replace slave and rebuild master. shortly after that, the clutch hose burst. that old fluid was nasty and had crystals in it. had obviously never been changed...

I just turned 900 miles on my new etrike. Cost of ownership so far =zero. Same as my golf car and ebikes. Meanwhile my 9 miles per gallon escalade remains parked in the driveway. Seems odd to be anti electric then complain about GLOBAL fuel cost. the problem is the idiots that support 9 mpg suv and...
