My bike used to overheat when sitting when I first got it. I flushed the rad and put in new coolant and it solved the problem. I think there was air trapped somewhere in the system.

How did you get the neutral light back on? Are you sure the reverse lever is returned all the way back down and is pushed in? The arrow is probably a directional arrow for the auto reverse cassette. I dont think it should be on if the stereo is switched off though,, is there a cassette in the player?

Try rolling the bike ahead and then shifting into first or second. Then try going back into neutral. You should get athe neutral light then.

I would just dump 3 1/2 qts. in and start the bike and let it run for a minute. Then just check the dipstick and add as needed. Dipstick not screwed in to check.

The bike has to be running, in neutral. The pump won't run in with the bike in gear. You have to hold the "P Check" button and push either "increase" or "decrease". The pressure should show on the LCD screen in the center of the dash. The engine doesn't have to be runn...

That's good news. Glad to hear you are up and running again.

It may be wired into the cassette. If it is you probably have to put a dummy cassette in the cassette player. You could just find an old cassette and take it apart and pull the tape off of the reels and then put it back together. Put it in the player and switch the radio/cassette button to cassette....

I just looked in the owners manual, It does not show an alt light on the dash anywhere,, pretty sure my 93se does not have one. I cannot say for sure what other models/years have.
