Well carbs are done, coils done, wires and plugs done, new timing belts ,exhaust leaks stabilized, brakes are in the re-and re process, just have to start putting things together and see what happens

Thanks, I`m a little lost as to igniters, I did the coils , spark plug wires and set the valves, seems to be running fairly well ,but theres a few holes in the exhaust that need some attention, so I`ll get to them, right now I`ve got brake issues,lol. Hello folks, I had the opportunity to buy my old bike back after 3 years, It didn`t start so I benched it and started looking, It was outside for a cpl. years under a tarp, so first off brought it in the shop to dry out. Bike wasn`t running well at all, pulled the carbs and cleaned the jets ,first carburetor rebuild,didn`t break em open but did the bowls, floats and jets ,seemed to go together too easy I`m scared now, figured out how to remove the coils so a good upgrade for fuel and ignition, just waiting on parts....

I`m back on my old bike 82 gl1100 aspencade, I`ve pulled the carbs and am in the process of replacing the coils, what is the method used to replace coils, do I have to drop the faring? seems pretty tight in there
