Re: Trailerable Bike Covers

Have used the Ultraguard cover for years and have been very pleased. Used it on a '87 and a '99. My newest trailer is an open trailer with nose guard as well. No real issues and definitely no rubbed paint areas.

Re: Center Stand

I don't know if it would fit but I have a center stand for a GL1200 that you can have for the cost of shipping. It is in great "like new" condition.

Re: Center Stand

Just wanted to make a comment on this problem since I had this happen on my GL1200. It turned out to be my back tire which had a side wall that was taller than normal. This caused the tire to touch the ground while the bike was on the center stand. The tire eventually ballooned out the sidewall and ...

Re: Name that tune!! No really... What is this mystery noise??

I've been watching this post for a while now to see what the answer might be because I have experienced the same thing on several occasions with my '99. However my noise has not been as loud as original poster's was. It has not happened lately. When it happens it is right after I shut it off after a...

I would suggest calling the guys at Sierra Electronics. They know a lot about the stero and CB equipment on our bikes. Hope that helps.

Re: Reverse Won't Stay Engaged

Thanks Bluewaterhooker0, I'm pretty sure I am pulling full up on the lever once I pull the lever out. I do have to pull out and then up to engage reverse. However I'll pay particular attention to how far the lever travels up and see if I notice anything.

Reverse Won't Stay Engaged

Hi all, I've been having problems with the reverse lately on my '99 1500SE. It won't stay engaged when backing up. It goes into reverse real easy but the level won't stay in the up position as I'm backing up. Is this a problem with adjustment or what?

Re: Compressor wont work if display is down.

I'm no electronic genius or anything but I remember reading on the forum something about the ground wire for the pump running through the LCD. I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will either confirm or correct that for you.

Re: Air Compressor Dead

Just wanted to let everyone know that my compressor is alive again. The plug was unhooked under the seat. I decided to go ahead and renew the desiccant via WingAdmin's tutorial. All went well. Thanks again WingAdmin for a great tutorial.

Re: Air Compressor Dead

Thanks for that WingAdmin. Yeah, I was wondering if the bead getting moisture laden might make it quit. I haven't checked the voltage at the compressor mainly because I don't know where to find it. Any help there would be great.

Brake Light Modulator Install

Hi all, I'm in the process of hooking up the Big Bike Parts brake light modulator. I am not too comfortable with electric or electronic stuff but I manage to get by most of the time. Anyway, I understand the instructions about hooking the white wire to the brake light and the black wire to the groun...

I understand what you're saying but when the same kind of noise occurred on my '99 it turned out to be the dampers by the alternator. I hope you find the source of your noise.

Re: SOLISITUD DE INFORMACION

FYI my first motorcycle ever was a 1987 GL1200A. That was 8 years ago and I was 61 years old. That being said I did have a basic rider course first and that is critical for anyone operating a motorcycle especially a Goldwing. I did not tear up the bike or myself but we had "mishaps" along the way. W...

I also followed the instructions that came with the brace. I put it in the freezer for an hour. I did have to persuade it in place even after taking the axle and pinch bolts loose. Other than that everything went just fine. Am happy with its performance.
