Wing resists left turns

A friend recently dumped his wing while making a left turn into a parking area. He was going about 30 and leaned to the left, but the bike didn't cooperate and he had to lay it down. He said that it felt like it was resisting another left-hand curve about a week earlier. Does this sound like his ant...

Re: PRE-LOAD ADJUST ERROR MSG

There is an attachment to the rear shock asm. that must be left on the bike or you will get such a message. It is possible this unit has come unplugged or become defective. Not sure how close you are to your installer but, that is the person that should trouble shoot this for you. You can find help...

PRE-LOAD ADJUST ERROR MSG

I've got an 06 Comfort/Navi with a Hannigan trike kit. I just updated my original mapping firmware to V 4.3. As the new firmware was completing it's upload, I got a Pre-Load Adjust error message. With Hannigan kits, the air shock system is completely removed as it's not used on the kit. I've ridden ...

Re: Battery Status & Replacement

Guess since I'm nor sure that the battery is starting to fail or not, but am sure that I don't want it to fail out on the road, I've ordered one of the new Shorai lithium batteries. That should be the last battery I need to buy for this bike. In case you haven't heard of them, this is from the Wing...

Battery Status & Replacement

Is there any reliable way to estimate how much longer your battery will last? I ride my bike year round and just went for a good ride yesterday. I have no idea how old the battery is as I bought this 06 Wing last year. I just checked and the voltage at the battery is 12.5 with nothing on. When I tur...

Re: gps updates

After re-reading all of these posts, it is obvious that there are a whole lot of us in both the US and Canada have a legitimate claim of consumer fraud. I too have made the calls and am told that Garmin is waiting on Honda to come up with a firmware upgrade to make our non-NT units, NT compatible. A...

06 Honda Navigation

I have an 06 Comfort/Navi, with the factory original Navi software & mapping data. I know the majority of you don't like the Honda navigation, however I'd rather use it for position reference, rather than having to add on a separate unit. My biggest complaint, after the limitations/hassles of progra...

Fork Braces - Are They Worth It????

My mechanic is telling me that if I added a fork brace to my '06 1800 trike, I'd notice a huge improvement, especially in the cornering. How bout it? Have you put them on and what did you notice? Here's the 4 ones I've found so far: Kuryakyn, Gen 2 braces, w/ integrated dust covers for $150 Kuryakyn...

Re: Leaking Left Fork Seal

I'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out where he is getting his seals, but I'm leaning toward some other source of the problem as the new right seal held fine. What are the odds of grabbing 3 seals and getting 2 bad ones? I was trying to remember watching him put the tube together the first time...

You are talking about the guide bushing, just below the backup ring and seal?

No, but the front is solid and handles great. Wouldn't I feel the wobble?

Leaking Left Fork Seal

I had a pretty bad leak on my left fork seal, leaking to the point of minor dripping on the garage floor. About 3 weeks ago I had a trike mechanic change both seals, putting in new 10 weight oil. I didn't bother in checking the fork for about a week, but when I did I noticed that the left one was st...
