Re: car tire without alterations

I installed the Austone on the rear of my 97 GL1500 with no issues other than installing a Zip tie on the forward section of the rear fender liner to prevent contact.
I do not think I will ever go back to a MC tire as long as the Austone is available.

Re: HOW TO INSTALL THE MARKLAND FLOOR BOARD AND HEEL TOE SHIFTER

Very good advice and the installation sheet is right on. I would suggest when you are installing the kit to look Carefully at the shifter shaft seal for oil leakage and move the shift shaft side to side to see if it is worn. And then consider purchasing the shift brace and installing one on your win...

Re: Extra little plastic washers, oops

One place washers like these can be found on the 1500, is the choke rod connectors on the carbs. I'm not sure about the 1200. There are 2 plastic washers, one metal washer and a really tiny cotter pin. one plastic washer goes on the rod first, then the rod pushes through the hole, then a plastic was...

Re: Cover for Relays

Yes there is enough wiring in the harness to come well beyond the frame. (at least on my bikes) And I noticed that if you remove the cover and pull a couple of relays it slips right out with no effort at all. I generally leave the cover on and just manipulate it thru the opening. To be SAFE... Alway...

Re: Cover for Relays

Hi I just wanted to say that Pedro is correct. You can remove the entire relay panel by removing the two 10mm bolts that hold it in place. It requires a little finness to squeeze it by and through the opening, but it does come out and go back in without any damage. I have had mine out two times now,...

Re: Progressive rear shocks?

Thanks once again. I did find this spec sheet, and the only real issue seems to be about a 1/2 inch difference in length between the two. I don't really suspect it will make any difference on a Goldwing. The adjustability of the GoldWing suspension is greater than that. I'll let you know how I make ...

Re: Progressive rear shocks?

Thank you Everyone for your replies. But my major concern is the part numbers. The set I have is the 416-1622A progressives and the part number seems to be correct for the GL1200's The GL1500 seem to call for a 416-1633GLA and I don't see any differences that I can notice. The spring rate is 125/180...

Progressive rear shocks?

I have a question about the progressive 416 series shocks for Goldwings. I recently found and purchased a brand new set of rear shocks for my wing, at a really good price. My question is; I know the 1500 SE wing has the air pump but only uses the pump to inflate the air system in the right rear shoc...
