Re: Bike/Trailer wobble

You're welcome! Maybe if you move the box forward and redrill the holes? Or turn it around?

Re: Bike/Trailer wobble

I've been told the correct ratio is 40% of the body to the rear of the axle, 60% toward the front of the axle. Heavy weight toward the front, lighter weight toward the back. Should have no problems then, ever!

Re: How often does this happen???

I would not go with an investment firm, ever! I was talking about investing in real estate. Like Will Rogers said - buy land. They're not making anymore of it! That makes it a stable, precious commodity. Businesses come and go especially in this political economy. Real estate doesn't. :D Actually in...

Re: How often does this happen???

OK. Here's serious advice... Everyone else is having fun with this, but 30k can go in a heartbeat. Invest the 30k. Use it to make money and then take the money it makes, and use that to buy what you want. I know how to make money with the 30k, enough to buy a new bike within 90 to 120 days. I just d...

Stuart, try starting here on Amazon for around $100. http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-1300-ContourHD-Helmet-Camera/dp/B002QGSYZ4 i see what you mean by needing to be "close up" to what your recording and its view angle isn't very wide, but it serves your needs. when im on the dragon, i see bikers with ...

that's not a bad idea, how long is the battery life when its on "record" and do they stay on good on the bike's windshield? wouldnt want to be riding down the road and have it fall off the windshield. stuart. Re: The idiots are out there

I'm not a big guy. Only 5'7" and about 165. So a brick might have ended badly for me if I had one. With my luck, the guy would have been bigger than me. That's why I carry. I would have shot him and hopefully, there would have been witnesses to testify what that guy did to justify my fear that he'd ...

Re: The idiots are out there

I drive my bike with the highs on in daylight, and with my driving lights on as well. I've been riding for decades and it's my experience that having the highs on works much better to get noticed. I can't tell you how many times people wait for me to pass before pulling out into traffic when I have ...

Re: The idiots are out there

I would have asked the cop to show me the law. They usually carry books of the law for reference. But anyhow, I found a site that will tell you the laws for motorcycles in each state. Whatever state you're in, select it and you'll see the laws. I browsed it and I saw nothing about tinting. http://am...

Re: The idiots are out there

Hey. Sorry but I just checked what I wrote and nowhere did I say "Texas". PS, I did say I was open carrying. If you put brain in gear first, you'd know, I couldn't have been open carrying in Texas, therefore, by logical deduction, what happened couldn't have happened in Texas! So your supposition is...

Re: The idiots are out there

I have had this sort of thing happen to me several times where people intentionally began moving in on me knowing I was next to them in the adjoining lane. I stopped them with my finger. Not the third one. The index finger. It was pointing downward to my big 9mm open carry gun. They quickly nodded a...

Toothpaste works well for headlight cleaning. It might work well for windshields too... Couldn't hurt to try it in an inconspicuous area, could it? :)

Try looking at the Polaris Slingshot. For the same money, you can get a loaded one and they look like they're really fun to drive too.... and a lot more comfortable. http://www.polaris.com/en-us/slingshot?gclid=CjwKEAiAjsunBRCy3LSlz_PJqCgSJACJY7yKCTd92eIA8TBexPuZkcHGApG4ba4uB0W3OpfcEXxGABoCmhnw_wcB

Tootsieroll.... Thanks for the info. FYI, I have already done the tires front and rear. I've got the car tire on the rear and the bias rear tire on the front wheel. Love it. Much more stable and I still scrape my floorboards with no problems. As for doing it the way the manual says, they don't take ...

Re: Car tire on the back of a GL 1800 2014 part 2

I thought about that also - lengthening it by 3 feet.... I have a welder. Just need to find the steel to do it with... But if it stabilizes by moving the axle back 4 to 8 inches, that would be a lot easier.. I'll still need to do some welding to build a basket for a cooler on the tongue and leave en...

Re: Car tire on the back of a GL 1800 2014 part 2

The trailer is empty. When I get a gust of wind, it sways.... However, I did some calculations and found that the center of the axle is at 50% when it should be back further at 60%. I would have to loosen the axle and push it back 4 inches to be at 60%. I'm wondering if it would be even better to pu...

Re: Car tire on the back of a GL 1800 2014 part 2

I haven't seen one for a bike either..... But this is what I'm talking about. It's easy to attach it to a bike using a specially made plate for this purpose that attaches to the hitch and is held by the hitch ball. RP26003_aa.jpg Then the sway bar attaches to a plate bolted to the trailer and to the...

Re: Car tire on the back of a GL 1800 2014 part 2

The sway bar stops the swaying especia...
