Re: What would you stick in here?

Okay, so I got the Unobtanium 2.0 from BluThunder31, now I'm curious how you folks cut holes in your Firecreek versions? I'm guessing a Dremel tool or maybe a hole saw of the correct diameter.

Re: UNOBTAINIUM 2.0 PANEL 83160-MN5-XXX (Firecreek style)

Bluthunder31, you are awesome! The "package arrived today, Christmas eve, just like you promised! This cover is going to be so awesome. I can't wait to figure out what I will" put in mine ". Seems I'm back to the list that started all of this for me. My legacy cover came to me without the tabs in th...

Re: Anyone install a portable CB on an Aspencade that didn't come with one?

Thanks! You are right, it is pricey. I never have understood why motorcycle accessories writ large are so expensive, can you say Zumo?
I'm going to ponder this some more, I really think this can be done without spending $500 plus for the capability.

Anyone install a portable CB on an Aspencade that didn't come with one?

Hey sports fans, I've searched thru the threads and I'm not finding one that talks about installing a portable CB. If you have, what brand /model are you using? Did you tuck it in a fairing pocket or on the handle bars? Are you Bluetoothing it to your helmet? Are you using a Freewire as the Bluetoot...

Gearbrake module install 92 Aspy

Good afternoon Sports fans! I'm working on installing the Gearbrake flashing module on my 92 Aspencade. I've studied the schematics and have narrowed down to the 22-P WHT connector just above the air compressor. I'm planning on tapping into Brown for 12v power, Green for ground, and Green/Red for br...

Thanks Dusty Boots and Maplewingnut. I'll probably be headed to Lowes this weekend for a supply run, I printed out the picture of the wood blocks and threaded stock for reference.

Re: loaner fork cap spring removal tool

Thanks for the tip. I found another video in one of the threads here where the chap used a towel to capture the cap, said it was like opening a bottle of champagne, thought it was a good analogy. Kinda curious just how difficult the getting the cap on really is.

Re: loaner fork cap spring removal tool

When I follow Wingadmin's guide in the "how-to's", he describes using this tool so you don't explode the strut when the last thread gets boogered up, thereby releasing the spring unexpectedly and it's stored up energy sends it thru the ceiling.

loaner fork cap spring removal tool

Good afternoon sports fans,

Does anyone have a fork cap spring removal tool they would be willing to loan out? I am willing to pay for shipping both ways. I'm located in NW Louisiana.

Thanks!!!

Any tips/tricks for reconnecting crankcase hose to bottom of air box

good evening sports fans, Replaced pull throttle cable on my 92 Aspencade today. Haven't figure out how to get the hose reconnected to the top right corner of the air box. Hose mates from the underneath side. Any suggestions? I must say I was a little surprised at how much "stuff" I had to move/get ...

Re: replaced rear frame now 92 1500A won't crank

Roger that...luckily there was a small illustration that showed the flat side on top. Otherwise, I think I would still be scratching my head. Part of what the manual did help with on the T/Sing, there was a list of all the electrical pieces parts that could cause the bike not to start. The only one ...

hmmmmm, I don't know, I can see where you are going with it. There were some numbers in the manual about how many degrees were acceptable. I'll have to look at that page again.

I wish I could say I used that kind of logic for getting it right side up...but in actuality, I was just a bonehead and put it back on upside down.

Re: replaced rear frame now 92 1500A won't crank

So the lesson learned with this adventure...make sure you mount the bank angle sensor right side up. If you mount it upside down, it thinks the bike is upside down and won't start. I spent about an hour in the repair manual working thru T/S section, finally ran across an illustration of the bank ang...
