Both services were 39 point major service at JBJ 400 $ plus parts.

I am going to try Delo. but what weight and synthetic or non with the problems I'm already having.need it thin enough for the ticking, yet somthing that might help the ruff start ups. Have a can of seafoam in it now. In a100 mi I'll change it.

Thank you for your response.the rest of the day she starts smooth. 4 oil changes ago, 20 k.I started hearing a ticking and started using 3 oz of mystery oil with each oil change and the ticking would quiet. have used sea foam twice. Ratteling hydrolic lifters on startup

Have 1991 gl 1500 aspy with 112k miles. Started up this morning about 60degrees ratteling like crazy for about 3 to 5 minutes before smoothing out, the idle was so ruf with slight choke it was like running on 4 cylinders, i thought it was going to hurt itself. how do I fix this, anybody know? That happened to mine and I found a short in wiring of kick stand switch. Put a new one on , and it fixed it

Just had mine done last week with seal at JBJ ,it was their first one.Looks good hidden and shifts good.

thanks for the post sparrowhawwk, update my mechanic found the ruffness in the front shocks. the previous owner had mounted 2 piaa type lights to close together, straight ahead they cleard the fender in a turn they were hitting the fender shortening my travel. he told to move the lights out 3 inches...

which is better front fork rebuild for over loaded gl1500I h

I have a 1991 aspy with sidecar, loaded for traveling I still don't bottom out, but looking for a smoother ride, I like the double air shocks on the back, And I have progressive springs in front with 15 lb fluid, works ok but still old bike ruffness, how can I make this old bike ride like the 1800s.

Well good for you. I too am in the same boat, have my 91 gla hooked up to a sidecar. 90% of the time It's hooked up, but once in a while I'll unhook and ride through the mountains on 2 wheels like I use to. aint nothin like it.

That happened to me also after I put larger grips on. The mechanic fixed it by attaching a metal shim in the clutch handle, works fine now. 91 gl 1500.
