Doesn't say why, but the highway has double solid yellow lines, so not a passing zone. Maybe a cell phone?

Goldwinggreg - about your new avatar... Although I am definitely into cowgirls, and that one is nice looking, it is a step down from your previous avatar. That being said, I believe it will reduce your credibility rating,

Re: Open trunk - horn blows steady

Greg, do you know the part number for the harness in question? Is it 32120 MCA H50? The one that goes across both hinges and into the trunk? Looking at a parts fiche of wiring is like looking into a birds nest. Thanks.

This motorcycle must have sold, as it does not come up in any searches on cycle trader for Albuquerque, NM or within 250 miles.

Re: Trunk running/turn signal bulb.. 2 acorn nuts keep turning

You will need to get some pressure under the acorns so that they can bite into the plastic studs and carve their way off. A knife blade, standard thin blade screwdriver or a dental pick can help.

Re: What a scam!

I have found that if I search enough, I can generally find out who listed the ebay items and buy them from the lister, away from ebay. This very thing happened to me with Cyclemax, before I knew about Cyclemax. I found some items on ebay that I wanted, purchased them, and then through searching, fou...

Re: Oil leaking onto front fender.

Took it to the dealer for a check...the tech said the front shock was weeping oil, probably because it was overfilled at the factory..It's not logged in if I have any problems down the road...Tony When you say it is NOT logged in, does that mean they did not make a record of it? If it was me, I woul...

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a place far far away (Sturgis), an advertiser gave me a can of Ouator (pronounced 'water'). Re: footwear

Well, I have always said I have a fourple E foot, but I manage with EEE widths as I cannot find EEEE. TCX work for me. The only thing I can suggest is to get some and try them on, making sure you can return them. I think Wingstuff handles TCX. At least, that is who I bought my first pair from at a W...

Re: 2010 1800 Nav or Google Maps?

I was travelling through southern Ontario last month, and it suddenly told me to take the next exit off the highway. I did as instructed, and I very soon found myself riding all by myself on a deserted service road, looking at the bumper-to-bumper traffic sitting at a standstill on the highway I ha...

When I rode Harleys, they had lots of room round the shift peg, so I wore Engineer boots with steel toes. I was also younger then and could carry the weight    Now that I am older, and ride a motorcycle with limited space at the shifter, I have gone to Technical boots. I also wear TCX...

Re: Trail braking

It is all about practice, practice, practice. The more I ride the better I get at riding. Every year, I start out with PLP (parking lot practice) to get my slow speed maneuvers up to par, and then I hit the road to where I can find some twisties, as that is my favorite riding on this motorcycle. It ...

Re: Trail braking

I use this all the time when riding the twisties. It makes the whole procedure a lot more fun, as it feels like bike and rider are one, carving through those tight curves. Counter steering comes heavily into play as well. Man, what a rush. Love it. I search for roads that I can ride this way (such a...

Re: 2010 cigarette lighter fuse

I have 2003 Wing which is new to me in 2017. I have run an air compresor off of this socket. Could mine have been modified or maybe overfused? Yes, I would bet so. The normal socket found in these front left pockets is directly plugged into wire that is too small to carry the kind of current requir...

Re: 2010 cigarette lighter fuse

If you can find a one that just plugs into the socket, it may work fine, but they do make total replacements for the cigarette lighter style one that you have. They are plug and play, and just need to be installed in the pocket and the wires plugged in where yours are now. Here is a plug in one http...

Re: Reverse gear questions GL1800

Reverse is accomplished by using the starter motor. I would think that yes, 50' of reversing twice each day on a consistant basis could prematurely wear the starter out, or overheat it, and a trike would increase the wear and overheating due to the extra weight. If it was mine, and if I was healthy ...

Re: Ignition will no work

First thing I would check is battery condition and charge. That is the cause of most of the electrical problems that just pop up on pretty much all modern equipment. After that is proven to be good, then have a look at the ignition for wear, and the wiring to it. Then move to more difficult troubles...

Re: 2010 cigarette lighter fuse

One thing about that "cigarette lighter"... it cannot be used for anything except perhaps powering a cell phone or a GPS unit, if that. If you attempt to plug in an air pump or anything that draws any power at all, you will blow that 3 A fuse. A better solution that I have found is to replace that s...

Re: Starting Problem

Could be so many things. First thing I would look at would be the battery. If it is not up to full strength and is dropping below 10.9 Volts (I think that is the limit) while cranking, then the ECM will not have enough power to develop spark to start the bike. Then because you "excercised" the batte...

Re: Teddy Bear

You cannot wire a five foot teddy bear where I have this wired. I was thinking wire the bear's legs to the rear passenger handles. Pics of what I have done would not assist with this. Wire bundle ties might work as well, as long as they were substantial, so people could not break them with their fin...

Re: Open trunk - horn blows steady

I suspect the wires in the harnesses near the right trunk hinge have broken and shorted together. You hit it on the head DaveO430. Right side wiring had three wires that had cut insulation, and one broken. There was nothing burnt, but obviously, cross shorting was the problem. Green, PinkWgreen and...
