Re: Final drive on GL1800
I have to say after seeing the article in the GWRRA Magazine definitely tempted me to do the conversion from the OEM Drive. Where I also own a 2000 Valkyrie Tourer I know what people are talking about when they mention the Ghost Gear. Reading the comments inserted from the other forums it seems ever...

Re: Idle Surge after warmup then dies.
I put it in the repair shop and they say the ECM was malfunctioning. BUT, I have not received it back so I have not confirmed that the ECM was actually the issue. Once I find out and confirm, I will post it. I will be concerned if they also call me and say the fuel pump is also bad. Then we have an...

New 2018 GoldWing ?
I rec'd the enclosed link from a fellow GoldWing rider. If it is true it looks as though there maybe some great changes coming with the 2018 model. Time will tell.

Re: Has anyone changes to LED Bulbs on Factory Lights?
Wing Pilot08: I love the idea of changing the main console lights to the LED's available from Superbright shown at the link. From the picture there definitely is a difference in brightness. Agree with the comments regarding changing to RED maybe the better option. Am curious, has anyone here changed...

Re: Centramatic Wheel Balancers
I would whole heartedly recommend the Centramatic balancers; here is a link to them (be sure & take a look at their videos): http://centramatic.com/ (click on motorcycles) and found to be much superior to the Dyna beads (easier to install, also). Significent improvement in stability of the enti...

They are a great machine, Congrats!
If I had known Honda was coming out with the F6B when I purchased my 09 Wing I would have waited and bought one.

I too am looking at going Bluetooth, wireless and am also looking at options. Came across the following video's that offer an option. I have friends who have SENA communication systems and love them. Where I also have a CB I don't want to toss it to the side.

Does anyone know if the Socal LEDs will work OK with a Kisan headlight modulator? I would like use them but I wouldn't want to give up my modulators .... Re: Has anyone changes to LED Bulbs on Factory Lights?
I too just changed the Headlights & all the LED Bulbs (running/turn signals front & rear, flasher unit) and admit it is not cheap. The thread below on Head Light Bulbs along with info on the SOCALGEAR website which also sells LED Bulbs convinced me to convert. While my main goal was to gain ...

Re: LED Low & High Beam HL
Whenever I need to work on the high beams, I just remove the shelter. A little more work but a lot less wear and tear on the hands and arms. Have to agree with you Mike that removing the shelter is extra work. The extra working space it provides somewhat ensures they are installed right and that th...

Wing Admin - Thanks for the quick, detailed response. I installed the LED Low Beam Bulb's as they are pretty easy to access. As for the Hi Beam Bulbs, with having to removal some of the Tupperware and not having a fully heated area to work I am going to wait until I can get some Ferrite Beads. Hopef...

Re: LED Lights Vs CB Reception
This is an interesting topic. Last year while cruising a Harley forum, riders who owned older models using Halogen wanted to gain the same lighting the newer models had by switching to LED. Last year I saw a new 2016 Harley Electra Glide with the OEM Headlamp I was amazed at how much light the units...

Re: Left Fork Leaking-Rebuild Forks
Wingpilot08: I disabled the ADV on my 2009 Wing. It's easy to do with the fork on or off the bike. Yep, realize that, was just wondering if you had disabled it and how much difference you had noticed. Honestly, it was had to tell whether disabling the ADV made a lot of difference. The reason being ...

Re: Left Fork Leaking-Rebuild Forks
Over the summer I replaced my front fork Springs with the Progressive Spring Kit when my left seal started leaking. Definitely made a difference in the ride & handling. Shortly after I started to get the infamous front end wobble which I am sure is the Stem Bearings. The mileage on my Wing is ap...

Re: GL1800 2005 led lights for brake and turn light
I resurrected this post as I'm really interested in replacing all of the OEM Bulbs on my 09 Wing with LED's. Recently I replaced the Front Amber/Turn Signal Bulbs (I have clear lens) and love the extra light/visibility. For the rear lights, searching user comments on other Forums, I came across a po...

Re: 2002 GL1800 Hydralic pump
Over the summer I replaced the front springs with the Progressive Kit. I found that this really improved the handling and it was definitely stiffer. From day one I too found that my Pump did not begin to load at Zero and only when the setting showed 7. Looking at other GW sites this apparently is th...

Re: Wing Nav update
The process Boaz65 mentioned worked for me. I have a 2009 GW with the Navi system and have been watching this topic/post for a long time here and on other GW websites. Like others I’ve become very frustrated by the lack of support Honda/Garmin have provided for our GPS’s. The price difference to upd...

Sena Com System / GW CB (OEM)
I currently have a 2009 GW with the Honda CB System. I ride with other riders who do not ride GW's and utilize the Sena communication system. There is a Kit available that integrates our headset wiring (example source link below). I am hopefull that others have experienced in the same situation. Bas...

Re: tpms light on solid
this is not the light to monitor inflation.....it is the second light which monitors the system Take it to the dealer. When the TPMS light comes on and stays on it means there is a problem with the wheel sensor, it may need to be reset or it may need replacing. . I agree with the above if your ride...
