The angle bracket was on found in one of my junk drawers. Yes a lowes would be where I would get one. Just so the hole will go through the all thread.

You probably need to clean the M/C again.

You will get it. After riding for 200 miles, you will forget all about this learning experience.

A trick that is used is to lock the brake handle to stopping position, open all night. The little bubbles will rise to the top.

The bottom of the fork tubes--Are both arrows facing forward? The piece that holds the axle in place.

Since you have to time the belts when you are done. You might as well take it off to make it easier to work on.

I fill mine up to the top line when cold. Any excess will go out the overflow tube. Which has never happened on my bike.

The oem should be all you need. Your shock should still be usable IF THE THREADS are not stripped.You did not show the springs.If there are 2 springs inside then someone has already changed to progressive springs. If not then I would put progressive springs in. 40 year old springs is asking a lot If...
