Re: Kuryakin Iso Grips over OEM Heated
I didnt like the ISO grips it didnt seem like they didnt bleed heat easily throught the grips. I wound up going to grip puppies as they easily let the heat through as compared to Kuryakyn. With Kurys and the metal grips if you take your hand off they cool off quickly. With the Grip puppies the heat ...

Re: Goldwing Trike front tire
The Avon Cobra trike tire is specifically made for the front end of trikes unlike the Bridgestone BT45 and Michelin Pilot Activs which are rear tires for sport bikes. The Cobra trike tire gets mounted normally and has an directional arrow on the side for reference. Ive had mine over 3 years after go...

Theses pics and story are on the other Goldwing site and supposedly he had an accident and rear ended a car. The steering didnt just fail and break. This was over in Europe and if you look at the front wheel you can see how bad the damage was besides the bike.If youre going to spread a story get the...

Re: New EPA mandate for more Ethanol in 2019
I was at Speedway gas station this weekend and now they have a sticker on their E15 pumps stating to be used in 2001 and newer cars and flex fuel cars but not to be used in boats and mowers. Amazing what the government and big business will do for money with no care to the consumer.

Re: what do you use to lift your trike for service and inspection
I use ramps and hydraulic jackstands. If I need to raise the front of the trike I have a 1500 lb ATV jack I utilize for lifting under the engine. With the jackstands I can raise them up to 26 inches to work underneath.

Re: Trike conversion rear tire
When I had my 03 Suzuki lc1500 I replaced the rear tire with a car tire. At the time I was running a Voyager kit. Made a world of difference around town and on the highway. The bike no longer had a tendency to follow the cracks in the road and the ride on the highway at speed was a lot smoother and ...

Re: Armrest
If you purchase the armrests that mount to the seat grab handles one of the things you have to look out for is that the bracket has clearance for the passenger backrest heater knob. Some brands such as Khromeworks makes a set for the wing that fits the comfort package with no issue. If you get a set...

Another good polish is Flitz a metal polish you can get at some auto stores and Ace hardware. It works just as well as the higher end mag polishes and makes it easier to clean when they get dirty as it has some silicone in it. If you use a powerball or cone with a drill it looks exceptional.

Re: RIDING IN THE RAIN.
For ridng in the rain I wear Tourmaster rain gear. Me and my late missus swore by it and never got wet with their brand rainsuits. The missus started off with Frogg Toggs came home wet and that was the end of them. With your raingear also keep a couple of plastic bags you can put these over your sho...

wJJoDD_c9wY https://www.s100.com/s100_fr.htm Heres what I use on my front wheel. Its S100 polishing soap good on aluminum and can be also used on chrome. On the left side if you dont align the axle line correctly the caliper bracket depending on how far off the alignment is will rub on the rotor and sound like pads rubbing.

Re: 2006 GL1800 Navigation Map Update
One of the things youll find with map updates is that theyre usually 2 years behind the curve . So for a 2018 update theyll be a 2016 maps. I have a 2007 wing and the last update I have is 2012. Most of the time on the 2 lanes it doesnt make much difference but on the highways even with my additiona...

Some 07s also had transmission issues with the ghost shifting issue. If you can get a test ride get the bike out and just see what its like shifting from 4th to 5th and see what its like when you open it up in 5th. This issue didnt affect a lot of the bikes but you dont want to get stuck with an exp...

If you go to CRC electronics cleaner be careful not all are plastics safe. Same with silicone spray some have acetone in them. I prefer to use Radio Shack tuner cleaner and lube which is plastic safe. A can will last a long time and work on all of your wings switches. https://www.radioshack.com/prod...

Me thinks you work to hard to make your point.
