Re: 2013 Roadsmith Trike Brake Fluid change
With my Lehman I have 2 nipples on each caliper. The installer said to start with the top nipples and start with the caliper that has the longest brake line 1st. Do one side then the other. Just like a car you start with the furthest caliper when bleeding the system. With the front I would trace the...

Re: Jacking the front of a Trike
I find usually using an ATV jack works the best because you can support all the way across. Having a trike with aquashields makes it a little more difficult because of the supports that run under the trike. In a pinch Ive used the other jacks. If you just want to spin the wheel Harbor Freight makes ...

Re: Recommendation for battery tender for 2003 GL1800
I have a couple of Deltran battery tender pluses. I keep one on the bike and the other I use on my car occassionally when I dont use it for awhile as the alarm has a tendency to pull the battery down. The thing I like about the battery Tender Plus is you can use it to activate a new battery when you...

Re: Jacking the front of a Trike
When I jack up mine and I have the side shields also, I jack it up centered on the engine case making sure the jack is centered on the seam ansd clear of the supports for the shields. I usually use an ATV jack for lifting. Ive used a scissor jack in a pinch and once in a blue moon a regular 3 ton ja...

Re: looking for info on rear brake pads 2003 Goldwing trike?
If you have a store like Napa with some older guys behind the counter they might have the patience to try and match the pads for you. A lot of these companies even thought they get parts from somewhere else for their kits ,they want you to buy it from them. Have you tried a dealer of their kits?

Also you might check to see where in the switch opening its possibly hanging up. I took some sandpaper to the bottom of the opening and it helped immensely. The switch doesnt catch anymore.

Re: 2003 GL1800 Fairing vents chrome install
I would clean and check your battery connections and make sure the battery is charged and up to snuff before you throw parts at it. If you can get it to crank, check your voltage as its cranking to see if you get a voltage drop.

Re: How to remove seized reservoir screws
Scott thanks for the video you have some really great tips in there. This seems to be a large problem because people really crank these screws down and I want to say the torque on these are supposed to be around 7 lbs. Plus the fact even though they have the correct screwdriver in their toolkit they...

Re: Disappearing Honda Shops
Ive had a trike since 07 and shops that dont work on trikes are a sore spot for me also. Sadly this was the death of a lot of install shops because of the lack of ability to service the bike they put the kit on. But from the shops point of view the cost depending on whats needed to be done for servi...

I remember my father having problems with his TV in the early 60s and taking out the tubes and going to an Allied electronic store and checking them in the tube tester inside the store. Oh those good old days!

Ive also bought some used body parts and gone to my local jobber and have them match the paint and repainted them myself. Sometimes you get lucky on Craigslist or some of the wing forums.

Re: The frustrating task of finding that PART
My neighbor used to have a Harley before he got into Goldwings. He would brag about HD standing for Hundred dollars. When he bought a Goldwing I told him they call it a Goldwing because buying some aftermarket parts you need to trade in your gold . He laughed until the 1st time he went to buy a trun...

Re: Emergency/Hazard switch
Ghostman, are you saying you have a extra switch that you are willing to sell? I just purchased my first 2002 Goldwing and have a hazard switch that sticks (got it unstuck) but does not work and a cruise control switch that will not stay on. I dont have one to sell unfortunately with the issues wit...

I wound up some years ago going to Ebay and bought the whole panel with fog light switch and reverse switch used for like $60.00 and wound up cannibalizing one of the switches and I still have one spare.

Re: 2007 No Rear Brakes
I would change and flush the fluids and then I would check out with honda if the brake recall was done. My 07 when it was new was doing similar things and I went through 3 dealers before I found one who would believe me and finally fixed the issue long before hondas fix. Supposedly theres somewhere ...
