Why give up the wonderful 1500? You had the best of both worlds.

Re: Ultimate motorcycle seat

I love my sheepskin, it keeps me comfortable. Cooler in heat, and warmer in winter. They are terrible if they get soaking, so a plastic cover for when it is parked in the rain.

Welcome! It is good that you are taking the time to get it right, before starting out on the Wing. You will learn more by working on your bike. Do it right, and do it once.

Re: Klím Induction Jacket

For a hi-vis jacket I prefer orange rather than yellow. To me, the orange stands out better on my red GL1500, but then again I have some jackets of each. But that will larn you, fancy walking in to a MC shop not expecting to buy something else?

Re: Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield Review

When I used to be a heavy vehicle instructor, I found that these transition lenses would cause the oncoming headlight of night traffic to flare. The lights instead of being circular, they seem to flare and become more "starburst" - quite dangerous as you tend to look away, rather than at them.

Re: Darkside tire change

Normal set of the cruise is in either 4th or 5th gear. But it will not set the speed above 80mph. (There is a workaround to overcome this if you go through the messages.) Go into the gears, and you can set the cruise control at any speed that will support those gears (about 30mph) and you can set i...

Unless you have found a new bike, I think you would be looking at a GL1500, rather than your 1600. Good luck, and I am sure you will receive some comments about your choices. Welcome from the deep, deep south.

Re: Advice for listing on Ebay

To add to the above, but I have never sold on ebay, only purchased. As long as you have a good idea of the book worth, you can have the bidding start at what you are willing to accept. For example you place your ad with a starting price of $100.00, or some other price that will get people to bid. M...

Re: Insurance

We in Oz have two types of main insurance, 3rd Party and Comprehensive. Third party is compulsory for all vehicles, and covers personal only damage, but not the other vehicle. There are lesser types of insurance, like "fire and theft" - nothing else, and 3rd party vehicle damage - nothing else. If ...

Re: State Motorcycle Laws

In the State where I am from, we are pretty well regulated. For a start "learner riders" (ie those that have only a Learner permit), they have to sit a theory exam before they can get the L plates. The L plates have a specification for their size and colour and where they are to be displayed. After...

Re: Painted or Vinyl Wrapped?

I would paint it ! Like the man says, even if it is garaged it will last 7 years. How long does the paint last? Mine is 21 years young and it still does not need re-painting.

That vinyl fades and looks tatty when it ages.
