Re: It is never to early to plan: 2019 GoldwingDocs Gathering

I cannot contribute much so far from the potential action, but, to move a "mob", break them into packets, set a speed average, and max speed, for each section. Then set the packets off at some time intervals. say five to ten minutes. Allow front to rear liaison - when turning a corner, the first wa...

If insurance for all your goodies is in mind, think buy price, rather than value. the insurance company can beat you down, but they will not raise it!

Re: put away for winter

it is a shame that your temperatures have gone low already. We are starting to enjoy the bounty of summer, and this week we had a 37c (about 98f). All you snow bunnies, romping around in your salt/grit laden roads, my heart goes out to you - but just a little bit. It is a shame that your riding sea...

Re: bee/hornet in shirt

Well, I can add to what appears a pretty common occurrence, especially to those that ride near naked bikes. I was riding my suzuki GT550 and I was stung in the neck between a full face, and the jacket. That bee that was flying backwards, hit me right in the throat. I quickly stopped, and with the a...

You could always ask Cyclemax. but from my experience with sheepskins, you would not want to get them wet, so keeping them dry while riding is a good thing.

Re: Hip cramp

the Vitamin c will give you a loose bowel if you overdose. I take the powdered C, about 1000mg about every 4 hours, when I have a bad cold. The dr put me onto it, and he said to slow down the intake of vit C when you get "loose". I haven't had a bad cold, so I have no need for it, anymore. The 'flu...

Try the company called <wurth.com>, as they seem to have a product to suit. they may even send it to you. They are a German company, with a presence in New Jersey, as well as Australia. HTH.

I love my sheepskin, it keeps me comfortable. Cooler in heat, and warmer in winter. They are terrible if they get soaking, so a plastic cover for when it is parked in the rain.

Welcome! It is good that you are taking the time to get it right, before starting out on the Wing. You will learn more by working on your bike. Do it right, and do it once.

For a hi-vis jacket I prefer orange rather than yellow. To me, the orange stands out better on my red GL1500, but then again I have some jackets of each. But that will larn you, fancy walking in to a MC shop not expecting to buy something else?

Re: Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield Review

When I used to be a heavy vehicle instructor, I found that these transition lenses would cause the oncoming headlight of night traffic to flare. The lights instead of being circular, they seem to flare and become more "starburst" - quite dangerous as you tend to look away, rather than at them.

Normal set of the cruise is in either 4th or 5th gear. But it will not set the speed above 80mph. (There is a workaround to overcome this if you go through the messages.) Go into the gears, and you can set the cruise control at any speed that will support those gears (about 30mph) and you can set i...
