Re: Wanted. Ultimate King Seat GL1800

Thanks Andy yes I'm in Wolfboro.
I was in email to him. That's a non heated midrider.
I tried a friend's king out in San Diego before I headed east last month. It gets me up higher and back enough to make my legs and back more comfortable and still reach the bars good.

I don't think that Honda has released anything yet. The new year models usually don't start production until August at the earliest.
If you have read something, post a link. If it was just a rumor and not a link from Honda, don't hold your breath.

Re: 2002 GL-1800 L/S Storage Compartment

Did you try pushing the door first and hold, then pull the lever to take any tension off the latch? If there is tension on the latch from overloading or too big an item in the compartment putting pressure, you have to relieve the pressure before pulling the lever, or an out of adjustment latch will ...

There are a myriad of LED bulbs flooding the market. Not are are equal in output nor quality.
We have no idea which ones you bought. Post a picture of them and a link of the ad to read the specs are necessary to get a good answer.

Makes me wonder if your battery cables are corroded inside and you are loosing current? I remember reading about that a few years ago on one of the gw forums that was bought out and snaffooed by mc. Com.

Re: Electrical Connection company - genuine company or not ? did not receive heated grips

Well if you, mr Bluethunder, think that is reason enough from one in the multitude they do excellent customer service then you do what you think you must do. Apparently you don't know what he has developed to make and is continuing to make, ECC has been around coming up with innovative items for our...

Re: Trailer brakes light won’t go off

Where are you hooking the test light as if the trailer was hooked up? At the green Bushtec trailer connector? That is where it should be tested. There is not a relay after the brake light relay on the bike. If your bike brake lights go off properly then it's in the added isolator harness which has r...

It might be an early California Side Car trailer, prior to the Escapade. Mid to Late 80s.

Re: Trailer brakes light won’t go off

As I read through the posts my thoughts were exactly as MikeB said... The relay in the trailer isolator harness that was added on the bike has gone bad. I had to replace mine on my 08 when I bought the bike used, it was also a Bushtec isolator harness that went bad. They are made by ECC, Electrical ...

Congrats on your new ride! Yes the early 1500s were that way on the kill switch starter to spin. In 98 Honda changed that. Good to hear you found the lost ear piece. You aren't the first to realize the difference in the wing rideability for you or the passenger. Say bub-by hd. BTW Get a shifter brac...

This is a CLC kit teardrop out of Maryland. I thought I'd make a narrow one for me as I don't need a queen size as they come. Probably make my own plans or get their plans and modify them for a narrower unit. http://www.clcboats.com/shop/boats/recreational-vehicles/clc-teardrop-trailer.html My CLC ...

Re: Gold Wing sat too long

Start with testing the wires to the ign switch for power when off and when key is on.
Yes you can test the solenoid. But if the lights don't come on with the key switch you have to start there.

I will check it out. Thanks! What did you actually check out??? Unfortunately, you will have to take apart much and have knowledge of testing wiring, along with tools to test your electrical system. A 12 volt test light is your best tool in this case. This will tell you if you have power in the wir...

Good.
Have you retorqued the head bolts? Once you put 100 easy miles on, let it totally cool off(overnight). In the torque sequence, Loosen a bolt slightly then retorque, move onto the next bolt in the sequence.

Re: Electrical problem...Blinkin' lights

OK. Those high voltage lights in the saddlebag were Honda accessories to replace the stock reflectors that the 1500s came from the factory with. Just for a FYI Here is a picture of what the stock lights were on the 1500s. 4 in the rear center of the trunk with 3 in each side of the trunk. And one 11...
