Re: Exhaust

Look in the how to section at the top of the main page. Also Google will get videos. I put a couple of Screamin' Eagles on a Royal Star Tour Deluxe and they sounded great. Didn't have to make any mods to get them to fit. Is that the case with the 'Wing? I have a couple of stock Harley mufflers. I kn...

Re: Arai Signet-X Helmet

Again Scott your detailed review has helped me out. I had to look at this to get my shield off to get the pinlock AT on. I'm beginning to like this new shield design and yes opening the shield has gotten easier. But I did like the easy opening of the Profile shield better, from a long distance rider...

Re: Exhaust

Go on then, I'll bite... What's wrong with the exhaust that's already on it? Nothing wrong, just too quiet for me. My other ride is a 97 Valkyrie with the 6 into 6 Cobra but I don't see where they are available for the 1200 wings. Just wondering what other options may be available. Thanks for respo...

Re: Arai Signet-X Helmet

Well I finally retired my Arai Profile yesterday when my new Signet-X arrived. I was a bit dismayed by the faceshield lock on the road last night, went for a 70 mile ride to test the helmet out by full moon. I think I have the lock figured out. I was trying to lift it while holding the release lever...

Re: HELP I need tire conversion

You can't find a conversion as there isn't a ct that will fit in the 1100 swingarm. It's too narrow. A 140/90 is the widest tire that barely has 1/4" clearance to the driveshaft and the brake arm on the other side.

Re: Oil Pressure Switch Questions

EZ
Yes the rubber boot is probably not available. It is there for looks. My 75 CB750 never came with a boot on the oil pressure switch so it isn't necessary.
Yes just crimp on a new connector end if necessary.
I put some heat shrink on that wire on my 83.

Re: 94 Honda Goldwing GL1500A mystery bolt

Honda uses that type of bolt on multiple locations on the bike. You'll have to start removing plastic to see where it goes.
One place to look first without removing plastic is the fork tube triple tree clamps.

The large rear diff actually has a D shape with a flat edge to it and is not a true O ring that is circular.

Re: 2019 GoldWing

My 08 is paid off and at just 123,000 miles, so it has lots a life in it still. I did ride a 2018 DCT Tour last week after installing a hitch on it. My friend said it has a full tank so go as long as you want. I had my doubts about riding it but was pleasantly surprised riding it, I put 40 miles on...

Re: Clarion radio repair

Actually the 1980 & 81 had Type 1 Clarion radios. I don't know if the Type 1 had a cb optional add in. Type 2 came out for 1982 and 83. It had an optional cb. Yes there is a seperate unit for the intercom for the Type 2. I sold the Type 2 radio from my 83 last spring. It had the am/fm, intercom, cb....

It's a great looking rig. You could fasten a tent to the lid like the Slipstream trailer has.

Re: To repair or rewire that is the question

I have found poorly crimped pins in accessory harnesses that have been the fault on non operative lights...one being the ground pin. You said the tire got wiggled out when changed. Did the wiggling hit the trailer connector??? It might have pulled out a wire(s).(not knowing where you connector is mo...

Thanks Andy yes I'm in Wolfboro.
I was in email to him. That's a non heated midrider.
I tried a friend's king out in San Diego before I headed east last month. It gets me up higher and back enough to make my legs and back more comfortable and still reach the bars good.

Re: 2020 updates/modifications/improvements?

I don't think that Honda has released anything yet. The new year models usually don't start production until August at the earliest.
If you have read something, post a link. If it was just a rumor and not a link from Honda, don't hold your breath.
