Re: WTB. Camping Trailer N.E. Pa.

I'm looking for a nice camping trailer for this Spring. Lee sure Lite, Roll A Home, Bunkhouse, etc. Queen size or larger bed would be preferable. Located in Eastern PA but would travel for the right unit. Thanks, Spence As a FYI.... The Leesure Lite and the Rollahome(standard size) are not queen si...

Re: Dead Wing

I had the same problem when I had my 1988 GL1500 many years ago. Got off the highway to take a break, when I got back on and pressed the start button all I got was a click, after that nothing. There was time that YUASA had a bunch of bad batteries. One of the lead plates inside the battery case wou...

Re: Asking for advice.....

One of the main benefits of polycarbonate is that it BENDS instead of breaking into sharp edges. If you hit something, you ARE going through the windshield. Would you rather it bend out of the way, or shatter, leaving sharp edges for you to travel across? This has been posted here many times before...

Re: Dead Wing

If your battery cables are tight, there are 2 orange ground distribution blocks on the 1500s that could have burnt pins and loss of ground to circuits. There is one on each side of the bike, wrapped with electrical tape in the harness, against the frame about knee level as you sit on the bike. I hav...

Re: Dead Wing

Went to start my 1500, turned the key on and everything was good, lights came on then I hit the starter button and it clicked and everything went dead. The Battery is fully charged, the main fuse link is good. I have removed the battery and battery box and checked the wiring to see if there is a br...

Re: Clutch

And did you clean the return port in the master cylinder?? That if clogged will give these symptoms. You have to clear with a wire from a wire brush, hold with needle nose plyers.

Re: Clutch

Sorry guys I have no leaks the problem I'm having is the clutch bleeds down at a real long stop light and the bike surges & dies. Driving on back roads I can ride all day with out a problem. I used a K&L rebuild kit for the master cylinder, I have used them for years now with out a problem on a lot...

I actually purchased a 99 Aspy from Phoenix that was recommended by someone here on the forums a few weeks ago.

I AM looking for handlebar controls from a late 90's SE to swap with my Aspy.
Did you see this ??

Buy either the Honda parts or Randakks has a kit. You only need the rubber parts and maybe float valves(only from Honda). Don't cheap out here.

Re: Cooling blower direction

Yup Practice Practice Practice.... It was a bit intimidating for me 11 years ago getting back onto a goldwing 1100 after being off bikes for 25 years. Sure was glad the engine and bag guards helped avoid deep damage on the ooops tip overs. I you haven't learned how to pick one up backwards, that wil...

Thanks I will try the For Sale Section next. Corbin has offered to sell me the other version of their saddle w/o the extended armrests.
You should probably buy the new standard from them and sell yours.
Also if you are on FB there are goldwing groups for selling.

Re: Corbin Passenger Backrest

Or try to find someone with the standard Corbin backrest without the arm rests to trade with.

I don't remember if the Corbin seat is lower at the backrest area than the stock seat, so there could be fitment issues.

You might put this in the For sale/Wanted section rather than here.

Re: Cooling blower direction

All the 2001 to 2017 cooling fans blow forward. They only operate when stopped or moving forward at anything less than 15 mph. Yes it would be beneficial in everyone's mind, except Honda it appears, to blow out the side through the radiators. Honda designed it that way to mitigate a rash of complai...
