Re: Metzeler ME888 Marathon Ultra Tire

I have been using dunlops for years on all my wings and truly love them. We've been getting them from Dennis Kirk for year's. Great price and only $5 shipping per tire. Works for us.

Re: 2010 GL1800 Software and Nav update

I'm interested in this as I have a 07 with the 4.90 system version and a 2014.40 mapping that I bought from garmin last year. I do have an external garmin that I use on my trips but using the bike gps on day runs is ok and a good reason to be able to know how to use it even though it's not user frie...

Re: Travel luggage recommendations

I have one that looks like these ones. Was not expensive, came with a rain cover in a pocket, meant for the trunk rack, but fits on the back seat in between the drivers and passengers backrests. I do not even need to bungie it on, because the drivers backrest fits in the notch and holds it in place...

Not quite sure yet. A lot of sticky switch issues the bike would not crank over.

Do the lights come on when this happens?

There is so much info on this subject but with an 05 and 80k miles. Besides replacing the springs in the forks for progressives or the like but also a fork rebuilt and oil change.

Facebook Goldwing sights

I have liked several goldwing sights on Facebook and really a lot of them are ridiculous, mean and the same questions over and over. People seem to go there for technical questions only to be slammed or belittled. And really I dont think Facebook is a place for technical questions. Another reason th...

Re: Steering head bearings

Yeah if there is no issue and your planning on replacing it next year, I would wait. It does require a special notch socket for a proper torque setting. However if you decide to replace go with the tapered all balls brand. And let us know.

I never thought of jb weld and the silicone tape I haven't heard of but why not. I just bought a dynaplug and have a small air compressor.
I carry a small set of tools to do about anything I need on the road including a multitool. I also carry the knowledge on how to use everything.

Re: Improve-Upgrade Audio

I put the 651's in the front of my 07 and had to do a little speaker metal trim modifying. The speakers are better than oem but still need more power behind it to push out the sound. I have done anything about that.

I just bought a set of led from cyclemax yesterday. I'll put the led in the low position and see how they work with the newly installed lights under the cowl.
