Re: Sea Foam

This is from the seafoam website and its what I was thinking while reading the above post. For routine fuel system (gas tank to engine) maintenance, one can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment treats up to 16 gallons of gas or diesel fuel. When greater cleaning is needed, add more Sea Foam – the more you ad...

Re: Kuryakin Iso Grips over OEM Heated

I had the kuryakyn clam shell style on my heated grips when I bought the bike and I am not a fan at all. I went to the grip puppy's also and just love them. I had them on my 1500 that had heated grips also. Better cushion and feel and the heat comes through them fantastically.

Re: MP3 options

I haven't seen a way to do this on the 01-10 but why wouldn't there be a way ? Some way to have an sd card or flash drive and control from handlebars instead of the j&m and the Chinese cheap thing.

Re: Shops in Phoenix that will install a rear car tire on a GL1800

I'm not from Phoenix but you can call around and find out how much shops charge to change out the rear tire. Or take the tire off yourself and take it to a shop and have them change it out. Most smaller shops should not have a problem. And still there is no liability on anyone's side except yours.

Re: 2006 engine noise adg?

Yeah I here it and yeah it sounds like my 07 it has 62k miles. I've often wondered what it was, my 1500 had about the same sound and i put 130k miles on it before selling her. I was gonna check the alternator bearings over the winter when I have the tank out to replace the shock.

Re: Monotubes VS Traxxion

Goldwingergreg,do you or your shop have any personal knowledge of progressive failures,or are you just basing comment on theory, more money, must be better? I myself have had good experiences with progressive 416 air shocks, fork springs and monotubes. I'm not doubting the quality of Traxxion, but what...

I agree, I've been using progressive suspension systems for years and I've been coast to coast and border to border without any issues.

Re: Auxiliary Lights Wired to Highbeams

I'm basically trying to have the high beams on, then turn lights on, then the lights would go off when the high beams are switch off. And at anytime the lights can be turned on.

Re: Auxiliary Lights Wired to Highbeams

Ok, Thank you, is there a specific size of diode that will work better than the other? I have looked at a Schottky diode or is there something better for this setup.

Re: Auxiliary Lights Wired to Highbeams

Another way to put what I'm trying to do is. HB on - SW on - Lights on HB off - SW on - lights off HB off - SW on - lights on HB off - SW off - lights off I want high beams on, lights on, switch on. Then high beams off, lights off, switch still on. Then high beams off, switch on, lights on. Possibly...

Would that be using a 5 pin relay but using 87a instead of the 87 pin on a NC relay ?

Auxiliary Lights Wired to Highbeams

That's half of it. I have the lights and the switch with a relay. Here's what I want to do. Lights will be switched on/off with its own switch at handlebar at anytime with the ignition on. When using them with the high beams on and turning the high beams off with the high/low beam switch, I want the...

That's only 115,500 miles. Yeah I would check out what Greg said. These bikes can go 400,000 to 500,000 with no clutch issue.
