Re: For you guys who change your own tires.

Good point and very useful. The trick to all of them is to make sure the tire bead is in the rim cutout so the tire bead has room to slide on the rim. I usually use 4, 3/4 thick pieces of plastic or wood jammed in between the tire and rim to make the tire bead go into the center of the rim. That giv...

Re: Tire Pressure gauge

I use the Tiregurd TPMS from cyclemax and I use a slime digital tire gauge that measures the same as my TPMS.

Re: For you guys who change your own tires.

I change my own tires using a harbor freight tire changer that is modified for me. It is temporarily mounted in the middle of the garage floor when in use. A no mar demount bar is a good idea and also the no mar spoons are good too.

Re: Dust Covers and LED Headlights

I agree that the dust cover needs to be on there for the very reason that tamathumper said. Last week I was on about 2 miles of gravel road and the dust was just rolling off the bike.

I had an issue with my 07 last year. There are a couple of antenna cable connections. I disconnected then and cleaned them with scotch bright pad or steel wool. All good now. Easy fix.

Re: How to remove dog bone fuse

You could install a inline fuse that you would pig tail to the screws that the dog bone fuse is screwed into. But a fuse is still a fuse.

On the madstad there is no modifying anything, especially the fairing. The windshield comes with a lower shield and a modified mounting system for the upper shield.

Re: Asking for advice.....

The opinions on windshields are like tires and oil, it's what that person is using or has at that time. With that said, I do like the stock windshield with the vent. I have also used a taka curved shield with the vent and now have the madstad and really like it. These are from my 1800. The 1500 shie...

I have a buddy who has both Gl1800 and F6B and he said that he believes there is no difference except he said the tab for the valve stem. If you do change wheels and tires be sure to replace the rubber valve stem to steel.

Re: Turn off ABS light after trike conversion

Will this work? I got it from another thread.

If you remove all three ABS fuses, the indicator should go dead. There's two 30A fuses for the motors and one 5A fuse for the control box.

I used a screwdriver to unclip the tab on the connector. After a couple of times of doing that and it being quite the bear, I broke that tab off the connector. It still connects great and a little easier to disconnect.

Re: Valve adjustment necessary at 51000 miles?

I checked mine last week and they are all in tolerance with 71k miles. Now I have a baseline also. I'll check again in 2 years and see if it has changed. That will be another 30k miles later. It was not a hard job at all. I did replace the valve cover gaskets too.
