Welcome to the forum.
Every brake bleed valve should be cycled in proper sequence when bleeding the brake system. The speedbleeders allow you to do this by yourself. It makes sense to replace them all if you replace one.

NEW ENGLAND HALLOWEEN RIDE TO EAT
Been a while since we had a gathering. Weather forecast for Halloween seems quite summer like. Yes, it’s a work day but for those that still do that, the heat may cause your pollen allergies to act up. Only fresh air will clear that up. I need to get out before snow flies and want to get some wind o...

Re: charging system
Gl1500 uses an alternator, not a stator, charging system. Double check you battery terminal connections and if you still only show 12 volts while running above idle (1500RPM) then you need to overhaul or replace the alternator. Believe there is a How-To thread for this. Suggest adding a voltmeter to...

Re: Introduction + GL1500 Project
Lever switches are the most likely issue with cruise control, especially with age. Pull each lever slowly and you should here two clicks. One switch on each side is there to deactivate the cruise. Worn lever bushings or aftermarket levers create slop preventing the levers from fully returning to the...

Re: Introduction + GL1500 Project
Welcome to the forum. Nice bike and good plan forward. All the information you need is on this site. You should still have a service manual, however. When I first had my GL1500, I needed to turn the idle up. Once I did routine maintenance as you have already planned, she smoothed out and I was able ...

Re: Gold Book
Hoping you are okay after the hurricane. Very much agree with Rambozo. You need to have service manuals for any antique motorcycle. I have them for bikes I no longer own; even for some bikes I never owned. I have on my PC digital copies of the service manual, instructions for all accessories, servic...

My first suggestion is the regular driveline service.
Second is grease the speedometer cable.

Re: Stuck between Two Bikes
Welcome to the forum. Assuming from the links, you are from Mississippi. I would check the following on both bikes: Look at the color of the fluids in both master cylinders on the handlebars for clutch and front brake. If the fluid has been changes it will not be black. Check the brake pads for how ...

Re: Shifting to higher gear question
Trike conversions usually have a different final drive ratio than the OEM. There is a heavier amount of rotating mass (also is a heavier machine) so a trike is a little different than a two wheeler. The engine has a great amount of torque so it will pull from low RPM without complaining. I recall fr...

Re: So you need to wire your bike for a trailer
Yes, there are several trailer brands that have batteries in them. You can contact Steve and he can build a plug and play harness for you or you can source out other options. In addition to providing a plug for each light, you will need a constant 12 volt supply to the battery. Does your trailer hav...

Re: Darkside List: Which tires fit which model Goldwing
The Darkside experiment is based on much anecdotal, qualitative data. My observation of these stories is that several owners have had difficulties when using 15 inch wheel. There is an automotive engineering standard for the shape and dimensions of the wheel bead seat and tire bead itself; 15 inch a...

Re: Shutting down in this Texas heat.
Sorry I don't have the magic solution for you. IIRC, the K&N removes the factory seal for the air filter box. You need to install this with the new paper filter. With this horrible gas mileage, is it possible you are running out of gas? I'm leaning toward ignition system; ECM, pulse generators, ...

Re: Air Horn?
On the GL1500, I had the basic WOLO kit with the trumpets under and compressor inside the right pannier. The trumpets would die after a year or so being down low in the dirt and the wet. Good news is they are cheap. Eventually, I changed out to an emergency vehicle electric air horn. I had similar s...

Re: How to install a headlight modulator
While I have been to bars in many states, I will not represent anyone in a court of law. That said, headlight modulators for motorcycles are absolutely legal throughout all of the United States. Many states have laws prohibiting "alternating headlights" except for emergency vehicle use. So...

Re: My 2012 Wing is Sputtering At Launch
Welcome to the forum. Where are you from? The air filter does not need to get "broken in" but the ECM may need to know about the new filter. Start the bike cold. Do not touch the throttle. Let it idle until the fans come on. Shut off. Then start and take for a ride. Some folks will disconn...

Welcome to the forum. Bear in mind that your bike is an antique and is older than the mechanics at the Honda dealer. I suggest you work your way through the How-To pages. Good advice already. The real question is what do you want to get from it? You may want to experiment with some of these options until you reach your objective. I used the GoPro for a while with mounts everywhere (both their click-in type and RAM balls). Some locations get noisy. Some have restricte...

DON'T TOUCH THOSE SCREWS! Whew; had to get that out there. Stuff rags, tape, magnets and anything you can around that hole. Re: Brake lights work for the foot pedal but not the hand lever
You have air in the lines. There is a proper bleeding sequence in the service manual. Sometimes that does not remove all the air. There is a junction block near the steering stem that can hold an air bubble. There is no bleed valve here - you will need to loosen the brake line. This is sometimes cal...
