Re: Shorty windshield

I have an '85 GL1200. I replaced the original windshield with a MadStad Windshield. I really like it. Here's a link to their web site so you can see what it looks like and how it works: https://madstad.com.

Re: How to upgrade my headlight?

What about using a modulator with LED headlights? Is this advisable? Does it harm the LED? I have a modulator with my H4 bulbs and really like that it brings attention to me (I've had several comments); if I went with LEDs, I'd want to continue to use the modulator.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. So far, it's working just fine. But that'll be something to check if it fails.

Re: Installing a kickstand warning on my GL1100

I installed this warning light on my 1985 GL1200, with a slight mod. Instead of a flashing LED light I used a regular LED which I picked up off eBay. To get the LED light to flash (which I really wanted), I eliminated the resistor and regulator in the above instructions and replaced them with a turn...

Re: LED lights

What LEDs would you recommend. I've read a number of blogs on LEDs and many state they're not nearly as bright as regular filaments. Any suggestions as to make/model of LEDs would be helpful -- I'd really rather not try "trial and error" given the costs. Thx.
