driveshaft coupler fitment question

Does anyone know if a driveshaft/coupler from a gl1100 would fit a gl1000? Can find all kinds of nice condition, nice priced gl1100 shaft/couplers, but only a couple of HIGH(er) priced gl1000 shaft/couplers on ebay. And in researching the site, found that Honda does not sell them, and NOS is non-exi...

Re: just purchased a '77 gl1000 w/26K miles

Welcome, I recently picked up a neglected one owner 77 GL 1000 standard myself. The old fellow passed away and had just let it set up for years. Right now I have it stripped down to the frame and engine and am doing basically everything to it. If you post a problem on yours, I'll try to help you ou...

just purchased a '77 gl1000 w/26K miles

Hey guys. We just got a '77 gl1000 today from an auction of a Honda dealership that went out of business 30 yrs ago, and the family just liquidated. I'm sure my husband will be on here a LOT getting her up & running again. Right now, it's one FUGLY bike, but the price was definitely right. He's ...

Wags pet trailer manual?

We just acquired a 2011 Wags pet trailer. If anyone owns one, that purchased it new, did it come with an owners manual? You would think the solar fan operation would be self-explanatory, but we can't get it to come on. We don't know if we're missing something, or if the fan is not operational. Wags ...

Re: couple of questions - seat height/mod

As said in the other reply, The rear shocks on the wing will vary, some start to move at 1-5 and others don't move til about 10. The PO could have filled the shock on one. As far as cutting the seat down, a good upholstery shop can probably do it or these guts are experts at it. http://www.bikesolu...

Re: no audio jack on 2012

wehrd1, according to the parts fiche, there is a rubber grommet on the bottom of the left pocket on the 2003, not the cover. #3 on the drawing: Look up the parts fiche. Listed under air duct. Grommet is #37. http://www.motogrid.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=HOM#/Honda/GL1800_A_(03)_MOTORCYCLE%2c_USA%...

Re: no audio jack on 2012

Yours should have the connector under the left pocket. Look inside the pocket and see if there is a rubber plug. That is where the cable comes through. Yours should have come with the cable. The left glove box is solid. no openings whatsoever. we're going to install a power point, and while it's ou...

Re: Power Outlet 2001 1800 GL

Does anyone know the part # of the power outlet that plugs into the wiring loom? is it a honda part # or one I can buy elsewhere? My new-to-me 2003 1800 doesn't have one in the left glove box, like my husband's 2010 does. ALSO: Is it hard, and what does it take to put in the male plug wired in, so I...

I'm stumped. I have a line on a used Saddleman Road Sofa seat, cuz the one I currently have just doesn't 'fit' me quite right, and i've heard how nice the Road sofa is... BUT...if it's what I have now, I sure don't want to buy another one. The STOCK seat on my fiance's gl1800 is more comfortable for...

if the seats on my '97 gl1500SE are stock or are they Saddleman Road Sofa. The driver & passenger SEAT are one piece, and the 'velour' center are NOT covers....but the passenger backrest IS a cover, and it comes off. 008.jpg more shots can be seen here: http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l20/wehr...
