Re: Turn Signal Auto Cancel

Now that puts another twist to this mystery. Perhaps the man who owns the bike has made a mistake about the year. He bought it used so who knows perhaps I should run the VIN to know for sure what year I'm dealing with.

Re: Turn Signal Auto Cancel

From my understanding from my friend whose bike it is that ants had gotten up into the instrument panel sometime and perhaps they are the cause of the problem with the speed sensor or the speedometer. I suspected they might be the problem but wasn't sure where the speed sensor was, but at any rate l...

Turn Signal Auto Cancel

My friends 1500 has a problem with the turn signal not auto canceling after it has sat all winter. It worked fine when it was put away in the late fall. Any Ideas on what may be the solution?

Starter Gear

Sometimes I hear some funny clicking noise on my 2001 Goldwing GL1800 and it gets louder after shutting the engine off and while the engine RPM's are dropping from idle. I was wondering could it be the starter gear that hasn't disengaged. It doesn't do it all the time just once in a while but I'm no...

Re: GL1200I output shaft oilseal replacement

I’ve never had to replace the seal but it seems to me that that you perhaps could do it just removing the back wheel and drop the swing arm to create the room needed to work from beneath. You might be able to do it from the side and not drop the swing arm but there isn’t much room doing it that way.

Re: Strange Elctrical Problem

I'm afraid I don't know what the dog bone fuse is or where to look for it, can you be more specific? If it was a fuse how would it go about resetting itself in just a matter of seconds but I will check it out when I know what it is and where to find it.

Strange Elctrical Problem

I’m having a very strange electrical problem on my 2001 Goldwing. The first time it happened I was pulling into the garage when the engine dies, the clock and the trip odometers reset, something just happened that the voltage dropped to such a level just like the engine was off and the battery disco...

Re: I'm feeling dark... new Austone Taxi Tire

I have an GL1800 with ABS and Honda only recommends several brands of tires because of how the ABS works. Has any one put a CT on a 1800 with ABS and the ABS still work like it was designed. I've been thinking of going with the CT option ever since I rode my friends 1800. It was different but I didn...

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review

I watched a video that showed in pairing with an older Sena but I tried it with my buddies Sena's 30K but it didn't take the first time so didn't try again. The 30K is perhaps a little advanced with mesh technology and only one open BT channel.

Re: I Cut The CORD!!!!! Best $35 spent! BT-S2 1000m Bluetooth Headset Review

I purchased the BT-S2 1000 without thinking about the helmet that it would go into and found that I just couldn’t make it work. So if someone here would like to have it I will sell it for $20 or make an offer.

Why not use a small sound powered mic attached to the Nuvi and plug that into the GPS audio input device.

Beerlover, I think you are good to go, and replacing the battery might fix the problem if it continues to discharge after a few days of sitting. Re: Poorboy alternator conversion on my GL1200A

Need more information, tell me how much AC voltage does your meter show. Some cheaper meters don't always tell the truth about the type of voltage it sees. Does it show close to 14 volts DC when the bike is running? So now switch to AC and see what that reads. I would say if you are reading DC volts...

Re: Poorboy alternator conversion on my GL1200A

the alternator has it's own regulator so no need for the old one, if you are getting AC current at the battery perhaps your alternator has a bad diode which is used to convert AC to half wave DC

Re: Shifter seal

The pivot brace was the reason for the project from the start but discovered the need for the seal which lead to a lot of time spent without getting the seal replaced. The brace was easy to install after getting all the covers and such removed and works great. So now that I know several ways in whic...

Shifter seal

I am working on a friend’s 1500 trying to replace the shifter seal on the engine, I have everything loose and access to the pinch bolt holding the shifter lever in place. Dead and Back Again

I had an incident with my 2001 Goldwing that has me puzzled. There wasn’t any problems prior to this so I will just explain what happen and perhaps someone has experienced the same problem. I left the bike set for perhaps an hour and when I returned I switched the key on everything seemed normal unt...
