06 GL1800 Intercom/CB

Have a problem with the Intercom and CB. Headsets are fine, tested on another bike. I can receive on CB, but transmit a dead carrier, no modulation. Same goes with the intercom, when you speak into it, it doesn't seem to be picking up the modulation from the driver or passenger. Headsets work fine w...

2006 Multi display control switches

Getting to be that time, went out and started going over the ride and found a few problems that were not there when I parked it in November. Seems the MFD control switches for display and trip don't work, other two seem fine. Real pain in the butt, as once the Nav is activated, can't get back to nor...

Re: 1986 GL1200A Timing

This is what I suspect has happenned. The teeth on the right side belt were so chewed up that the belt either skipped or just shredded the belt teeth at the crank pulley. Need to get the timing set up and replace the belt so I can do a compression test. Odds are it has either bent the valves or poss...

1986 GL1200A Timing

Don't know for sure what caused the problem, but ended up chewing up the right side timing belt. On inspection, left side is excellent, but right side teeth were virtually gone. Have new replacement belt available and am ready to change it but can't find a shop manual or instructions on how to set u...
