Re: How to install LED Headlights - Video

Just purchased and installed the NEW SoCAL LED headlights which have corrected the issue you encountered. The new units are completely plug & play, no need to cut the H7 adapter from the bulbs. Included a spacer for proper fitment. Maybe next year I will also do my High beams! Since I was replacing...

Re: 2012 GL1800 Radio Static after LED Headlight Installation

I wanted to come back with the fix that eliminated the radio noise. I have worked for sometime with Pathfinder on this. It has taken a while, but there customer service has been extremely good. I first tried the homemade ferrites with no luck. After contacting Pathfinder, they said they would eithe...

Re: Too Good to Be True?

Three years ago I sold my 1996-SE Pearl White with 210,000 miles for $2500. Had recently rebuilt the front forks and replaced the rear shocks. Came across a 2008 1800-HPNA with 3300 miles on the odo and couldn't pass it up. The buyer drove 4 hrs to see the bike, test drove it and handed me cash. We ...

Just used this method of mounting on the front rim. Put on a BT45. Took about 6 min to get the tire on the rim!

Re: PHONE QUESTION?

Once installed, you can listen to am/fm, intercom, Xbox, etc as normal. If you receive a call, those are muted and you push the button on the supplied controller. Once done with the call all functions are resumed. Install isn’t bad as the unit mounts under the left storage box. $699.00.... I...

Re: Help!

First question is how old is the battery and is this an AGM Battery (Absorbed GlassMat) or Acid type battery. The symptoms indicate that it may be your battery. Do you have anything that may have been left on to drain the battery (happened to me with trunk light). Check your connections to the batte...

Re: What Trailer can i really tow?

I needed to convert 5 wire tail lights for the 4 wire LED lit trailer, not too much of an issue with the aftermarket PnP connection kits available. I just recently went back to a 5 wire system, wasn't happy with the 4 wire converter on the 1800. Looks better have the correct amber turn signals on t...

I haven't taken them out yet, but I believe they are LED's Haven't seen what those actually look like internally..but would almost doubt that you would be able to replace an individual failed LED. Not sure if there are available replacements from Show Chrome. I actually used the OEM moldings and dr...

Re: using the CB controls on LHB for other purposes

Hi Rudi, I've got an 2008 GL1800 USA espec. and I use the CB controls to turn on/off the daytime running lights, low beams, and garage opener. The PTT switch is used to flash high beams. I made an circuit based in a microcontroller wich basically "hijacks" the signals in the system control matrix a...

Don't forget to report on the campground and trip when you return! Really nice campground, most of the tent spots appear to be level, but the area is very rocky! Our site #5 was very close to a restroom without showers and the showers were about a 3-5 minute walk from there. Only bad thing I can th...
