Re: Dropped bolt
Still have not found that 10mm wrench. I was working on my "redneck" pontoon lil 25 hp Evinrude, replacing starter, ordering new starter, receiving wrong starter (because I ordered the wrong starter), not able to get new starter to work, "Frankenstein"ing the new starter with old...

We just hit mid 50s today, though it was lucky if it was 30 this a.m., and the roads were definitely "slickery", lol.

Re: Looks like Orange Country Choppers is now gone forever
As I kept watching, I could tell it was a "train crash" waiting to happen, and by George it was. The creativity was cool in the beginning and then seemed repeatable. What I did like was seeing semi-easy it was to put a bike together.....though I would not trust myself doing that, lol.

Not to knock jvh's post, just because I like the DIY Hacks too, some are amusing, some are ingenious and a point of "why did I not think of that?!?!?!", but when I read this one, first thing I thought was my crotch on fire flying down the freeway.....at least I will be warm in this 30 degr...

Re: Anyone been turned away from CycleMax?
I can see both points, though if Cyclemax in their T&C states that they can not accept product that was placed on the bike, even any possible little scratch on the item makes it not salable. This is not just a Cyclemax thing, but an overall where internet sales lie. Credit Card companies will no...

Mag, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you when I'm passing through your area, a beige Goldwing with a short tinted windshield should be easy to spot. I'll be the guy with the red helmet and hi-viz vest like in the pic above and no front disc cover so I should be easy to spot too! That is a deal....as m...

I use the speaks on my bike, always have. Why? Do not want anything directly in my ear so I can hear what is around me if needed. That being said, I should turn it down a bit....maybe

Re: Bluetooth stereo system installation
I am currently building a 91 from the ground up. The only thing I need in a stereo is bluetooth. I can stream XM, Pandora, or my own music from my phone and don't want clutter on my bike. I have found an amp that up to 3 phones can bluetooth to, at the same time. My wife can control the music and I...

Not to laugh at your account, but I am laughing. Rough thing is that my wife and I (54 and 53 in that order) are starting to give those "deer in headlight" looks trying to remember things....and then all we do is laugh. Welcome to many more years of braincells giving up on us, lol. Welcome...

When I bought my current (used) ride, I could not figure where the high pitch ring came from......lower right side on the case saver....UGH! Hanging on a peg board in my garage now where it belongs. Oh, and I have not lost any pieces yet (been 4-5 years)

Re: Are All Gl1500 seats/saddles the same?
What about going to an upholstery shop and getting your current seat form redone (new foam, new cover if needed)? This way you know the seat will fit for one, and you can match the backrest also. Just thinking of other options if possible. I am sure there are probably YouTubes that show how to do it...

Brian, post what you do since I am interested. I am 5.10 32 inseam, but I have knee issues and have always had cruiser pegs on all my bikes. This one is the first where I have the boards out front (flip up etc.) and though they are a bit high, I have been able to get used to them. I do not like wher...

Yea, we are all tilting our heads to the left (like when we talk to our dogs and they have that look) I have a hi-powered HID and love the spread, did not want to change it. Do like what you did with the markers though and will probably be looking at upgrades there for mine. Season is definitely aro...

Re: Don't believe it when they tell you....
I semi-believe if I am given shop records that I can verify, but 9 out of 10 times I check over and replace fluids, and basic maintenance replacement (though I do still need to do the timing belts....2018 will be that date, once the garage thaws out).
