Re: Beating The ~80 MPH Limit of the GL1500's Cruise Control

I did it the same way by swappping the female connectors. Easy, clean, and efficient.

Re: How to replace your cornering light bulbs

Hi every one, I'm in the process of changing these bulbs to leds. By the way from the harness, in the same "plastic pipe" as the corner light wires (red and green) there is a pair of black and grey wires wich are cut and not connected. It looks that these are available wire for extra options from th...

Re: How to install a windshield vent

Ok, I spent some time installing this vent. Instead of the dremel rotating tool I used a "renovator" high speed oscillating tool which went very good, another way to cut the screen. First problem, the template was much "curved" than the plastic item and I had to grind it straighter on the upper side...

Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace

Here it is, perfectly working.
Like others, the big allen bolt did "heave" up the brace a bit. I "machined" an angle shim from a washer, and now its perfect.
Nice system Thanks

Re: Vessel JIS Motorcycle Repair Kit (Screwdrivers)

GREAT I am 54 and opening Japanese screws since childhood; I destroyed too much screws even though I have High quality screwdrivers (France best brand is FACOM). I ordered these "vessel" JIS ones from the us ( a bit heavy in shipping but...) it's a dream. I never felt that screwing or unscrewing sen...

Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace

Yes I did look the video. I also red the comments of other users. I suspect, as the bars seems to be twisted, that the bike some times fall and may be the "nut" where the 6mm hex screw is screwed, is not exactly where is should be. I still have to set this, or the chromed part is nos as flat as shou...

Re: How to bleed or flush your clutch

I didn't find a "how to flush your brakes" so I post here where I find some info on the brakes also. I always do my flushing every two years, conventional way (without vacuum pump). First I empty the tank with a syringe, several times with new break fluid and using the syringe blowing also to clean ...

Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace

Hi everyone, Just a post from France I installed the shifter pivot last week and had some trouble. The extension arm No 2 (on the sketch above my post) was installed on the gearbox outlet one step higher than original I think. Which is no problem without the pivot. But with it installed I could only...

I received the items yesterday, and it is supplied with a template, so I got everything to work
As I have my first winter maintenance to perform, including the new shifter brace and draining the brake fluids, it will take time, and I will keep you informed of my success. Thanks

Re: How to install a windshield vent

Hello all of you bikers This is my first post (from France) on this fantastic site. My 1500 windshield has got no ventilation, and I just purchased a new wentilation grid. But it is supplied without a template. Has some one the possibility to supply this template so I can properly drill the hole in ...
