Re: windshield vent removal

Ok sssooo, there is a way to get them apart without breaking them. It seems that the lip on the top of the vent (the back half of the vent slips into a lip (or L shape) on the top of the front half of the vent, if the back half will not lift up after the bolts are out you don't half to break it in t...

windshield vent removal

Has anyone removed their windshield vent, was it stuck after you unclipped the bottom latch (or plastic hook). Changed my windshield but the vent is stuck together even after I unbolted and I unhooked the clip at the bottom, would like to know before I break the old one and buy a new one...

2007 Goldwing owner

Is there any 2007 owners in here? If so, Does anyone know if the windshield for a 2007 has 3 screws or 5? 2 on each side and 1 in the center, or is it 1 in the center and 1 on each side (making 3 screws).

Re: 1800 caliper pin grease

Thanks, does Honda recommend this brand and grade? And is it the correct grease for the caliper pins that the calipers slide on?

1800 caliper pin grease

So I checked the site for info on what type of caliper grease I should use for my 2007 GW and found not one article on this, am I the only one looking for info on this? My books conveniently leave this out?

Re: Rear shock height

I seem to recall your question a while ago on another forum? The issue could be that the bike has been lowered with an aftermarket bracket which makes the center stand totally useless. I have lowered my Wing with this bracket and had previously modified my center stand by removing 1" off the s...

Re: Rear shock height

I have seen the videos of people putting there wings up on the center stand by pretty much just standing on the center stand arm, but there's just no way that can be done like that on my wing at 900lbs, i saw the tech at the dealer rock it back and forth 3 times before he got it on the stand.

Re: Rear shock height

Is not the front tire already 0.5" taller than the rear tire?, would the front rake need to change by the exact height of the new rear shock or just by 0.5" to make it equal one inch?
Is there a way to check if the rear shock has been lowered by any amount without pulling it all apart?

Rear shock height

Does anyone know if they make a rear shock that's maybe 1 inch taller than the stock shock so I can get the bike up on it's stand easier? I'm thinking that this would let me keep the 60 size tire on the rear and not sacrifice tire stability with higher side walls (that would contribute to some loss ...

this is a popular oil to use, takes care of your Transmission gears at the same time, from Honda they all run in the same oil bath. https://www.amazon.com/Shell-ROTELLA-Synthetic-Diesel-550045347/dp/B01LH7L0KS/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1522617053&sr=1-4 But it's Synthetic oil ...

Re: Transmission fluid

Does anyone change their own transmission fluid? If so how often and where would you look for a dip stick or bolt to remove to at least check the fluid level? I have searched my owners manual and my Clymer repair manual and have found nothing on this subject. I'd be surprised if you found mention o...

Re: Front brake replacement

You can indeed change the pads without wheel removal. Push the pads back towards the caliper with a wide flat blade. Looking at the caliper you will see a small rubber plug at the bottom. Remove the plug and use an allen wrench to remove the pin. You should be able to pull the pads out of the calip...

Anyone have a video on replacing the front brakes without removing the front tire? The repair manual i have (Clymer) says the brakes can be replaced without removing the tire.

Re: Center stand no answer found on my issue

It's sagging almost as bad as Playboy's Granny. Its either a shock problem but I think you ruled that out, they hold air. Rear tire sidewall looks a bit short. Rim to ground don't look normal. Bike may have a lowering kit. Take a look at your rear shock mounts for an extra bracket. The 2007 1...

If there isn't something wrong with the bike, it really is not that tough a thing to do: KOopelw2o4g If something is causing the bike to be much lower than normal, it can be extremely difficult to get it up on the center stand. Re: Center stand no answer found on my issue

Not trying to make pun with your problem, but there has to be something wrong. Either something mechanically wrong with your M/C or you are doing something seriously wrong. Since my back tire does not move up or down when adjusting it from 0 to 25 (on or off the center stand) I'm starting to wonder...
