Re: front fork repair

Re: front fork repair

the parts bike seems to have the same affliction. of course it may just need fluid or air. i am still reading and learning before going full steam ahead into territory that i am not familiar with. I was more interested in finding out if there was an alternate source for the parts needed (if they are...

Re: 3 YELLOW WIRES

I just figured that since it has been sitting dormant for several years that the cylinsder wall would need honing. being new to this i am noit well informed on procedures to make this motor run. but if you think it would be ok to just clear and break loose i will try that first. is there a way to tu...

Re: 3 YELLOW WIRES

if the connector is melted does that mean that the stator needs replacement? i am going to remove engine and go thru it anyway since the previous owner allowed the engine to become hydrolocked with gas. should i assume that since the connector was melted that the stator is bad?

engine swap on 82 gl1100 interstate

since my last post I have found that the engine on my 82 goldwing is locked up and my question is will an engine out of an 81 model fit in an 82 frame. i have found two in my area that are reasonably priced and am thinking this would be an easier fix to my situation than rebuilding an engine.

I recently acquired a 1982 gl 1100 goldwing that has been sitting in a storage building since 1993 i have removed the carbs and intake to find that the gasoline that was in the tank had leaked down into the cylinders over the years and has obviouusly locked the motor up. my question is do you think ...
