Leaking Rear Shock

Took out our newly acquired 89' GL1500 w/air suspension this past weekend. When we parked her, noticed a puddle under the rear wheel which turns out to be from the right rear shock. Any advice? I've read some posts out there where users have said that some leakage is "normal", find that hard to beli...

Re: 94A Rear Wheel Removal

Took our newly acquired 89 GL1500 on its maiden voyage yesterday after rebuilding the carbs and handling a dozen other "gremlins". Parked her in the garage only to come out later and see a puddle of fluid had gathered under the rear wheel. Thanks for posting your experience, I think I'll just take t...

Re: How to replace your cruise and sub air filters

Trying this out (for now), local auto parts store had some foam tire dressing applicators for $1.99? Pulled out the block of foam (which was pretty similar to the element used in lawn mower air boxes), cut to fit, put some oil on the sub filter and installed (no oil on the L-shaped cruise filter). I...

Re: '91 GL1500 fuel pump

Put the Accord pump in my 89' 1500 this past weekend. Pumps fine so far, only complaint is that it is a tad bit noisier than the OEM.

Re: muffler smoke

Seeing a white vapor from both pipes on my '89 1500. A little history....new purchase, just did a rebuild on the carbs (Randak kit), replaced a thousand feet of tubing, fuel pump and changed the air filter and plugs. Still have Seafoam in the tank, wondering if that might be breaking down some carbo...

Re: Helmet deodorizer

Febreze and washing is great, try placing a scented dryer sheet in them when storing. Cheap fix.

Re: Cleaning the Mighty Goldwing....

I use Lemon Pledge and the bike smells so sweet  Pledge is good on the windscreen after you have cleaned all the bugs off. I have found the best way to get rid of the bugs it to put a wet cloth (tea towel works great, just don't let the misses catch you using her good ones) over the screen let...

Re: '91 GL1500 fuel pump

I would love to have another option for a pump. There is one or two problems.the 1500 has very little extra space under the plastic to fit a pump and the carbs set higher than the tank. Will that External pump lift the fuel up out of the tank If I could find a spot up top for it?The pulse pump from a...
