Sorry, I had taken the 1st disc out of a clutch pack I had on the shelf and measured it. I went back and took out the second friction disc, it measures 120mm inside. I hadn't noticed that first one being different.
Thats ok. thanks for rechecking.

How about 127mm (5.010") ID, 147mm (5.790") OD
Thanks.
I see there a lot narrower on the friction area than the gl1000 ones.

Re: Use an auto tire on the front wheel of a trike?

I have just had fitted a Avon cobra trike tyre on my 1500. not sure if you do notice any difference. but I didn't have any handling problems in the 1st place.

from what I can see is the tyre has a very slight flat profile.

Re: New fuel pump not working, 94 1500 esp

The fuel pump only powers up when you press the starter button on later models.

To test disconnect the wire to the pump and run a 12volt feed from the battery

The valve setting on a 1000 are not all the same
inlet .1mm .004"
exhaust .13mm .005

and should only be adjusted when cold like left over night

Hi, My bike is 1976 and im supposing they did all of those things but to be honest with you i do have some very serious doubts. Setting up the split timing is beyond my abilities as is stripping and rebuilding my carbs as they are not as straight forward as my old cb550 four carbs were, they were a...

Re: Bike don't start. Starter just whizzes.

Applying heat to the area of the sprang might loosen it up a heat gun or even a strong light bulb might do it. Another more involved method requires drilling a hole in a spot so you can squirt solvent right at the sprang's sprang's and plugs. Last pic shows a port added and the straw in the hole..O...

Re: Bike don't start. Starter just whizzes.

I'm not able to bum start it unfortunately. It's in my back yard and the drive way is on an uphill. What should I do if I pour the seafoam in and I can't get the starter to engage? Would I have to drop the engine to change the starter clutch out? Or is there a simpler way? Is it not possible to pus...

The carb may have been flooding for a while that could have caused the back fire!
fuel leaking from the tube is from the float chamber you will have to have the carbs off to check the floats

Hi 1st you don't want to be checking ohms readings with the ignition on or any 12 volt live feeds.
It sounds like the coil igniters check the connections and try swapping the coil igniters over

Don't the buttons just operate the electric valves?Screenshot_20180628-135525.png Any hoses in that area may be only for the carbs not the suspension. Just guessing. Yes you are right. theres no hoses in the area for the compressor. just the switch controls. you may have dislodged a wire or plug to...
