Re: GL1500 Alternator Warning Light
If you're putting the warning light in the dash in the same spot as I did, you could easily make your own insert: /images/Review/GL1500_Alternator_Warning_Light/GL1500_Alternator_Warning_Light_08.jpg Cut a small piece of translucent scrap red plastic to fit, then use a P-Touch Labelmaker with some ...

Re: how to access air/fuel mixture screw (s) ??
Do you have the service manual for the bike? It tells you how and where the air adjustment is made. Do you have the "D" socket adjustment tool to adjust the air pilot screws before you try? We don't know what you've been doing in your "finally got my bike back together and running&qu...

Re: REBUILDING CARBURETORS
I just finish re-building the carburetors on my 1992 gl1500a, and have ran into more then my fair share of problems, starting to regret buying this bike. First it was getting the vaccuum sliders to seal correctly, and now I have fuel flowing out the bottom of the bike like rain!!! I believe it's te...

Re: Another radio mod
I wasn't aware the radio was that waterproof, having dismantled it for the aux input mod, didn't look like it was able to withstand torrential downpour, I bow to your superior knowledge. The town I go to in England, you would come back to your bike and find all the radio knobs missing. But the poin...

Re: Polk DB401's and GL1500 Aspy
Ok, I'm a bit confused now. Are the rear speakers supposed to be mounted BACKWARDS? I have them currently mounted where the speaker is pointed towards the open grill and the back/magnet is facing outwards which is what fits into the bottom cavity. (and in my case is bumping against said cavity and ...

Re: My 1993 GL1500 won't idle, can someone help me?
When I say rebuilt, I mean I removed all the jets that are removable EXCEPT the pilot screws. I didn't touch the pilot screws. I flushed every passage using carb cleaner and air pressure. I visually confirmed the jets passages are open. I replaced the float valves including the needles and the floa...

I am not sure what air pilot screws are. I am assuming you mean the pilot screws and like I said, I didn't touch them. When you say you rebuilt the carbs twice. did you completed strip them all jet taken out cleaned all the jet and small holes and air ways ? The two air jet in the front of the carb.
