Re: Mystery coolant leak

The leaking coolant sits in the bottom of the front cowl. so it may not show a damp patch on the ground. and when your riding it will be blown out. you may notice it if you move the bike before riding it or working on it.

Re: BRAKE RESERVOIR HOSE

It may be easier if you removed the hose and measured it.
As its a trike and they may not have used the original goldwing brake master cylinder

Re: Need Carburetor help!!!!

Here is the story: bought a 88 GL1500 this past Feb. It needed some work, tires, brakes, LCD screen, fuel petcock, etc. She ran but had the hesitation then giving throttle. I took the bike over to my dad's to rebuild the carbs. He done carbs before and thought this could be a nice father son thing....

If you haven't already done it. I would isolate and disconnect all the wires that are running accessories or extra light cd or what else is fitted. then start testing

Re: Rear Brake Issue

When you refitted the brake master cylinder did you fit the heat deflector plate between the cylinder and exhaust pipe. the fluid is getting hot and expanding causing the callipers to close. also check the front one as there linked it may be binding causing the same effect.

Re: GL1000 engine shutting down at lower speeds (while running warm)

If the carbs or a carb is flooding some of the unburnt fuel will end up mixed with the engine oil. remove the oil filler screw cap and see if there is any trace of petrol by sniffing around the oil fill hole.
