Cruise control

Hi guys In my 1992 1500 the cruise control will not work, I have fixed all the micro switches so when I turn the cruise on and set the speed both lights light up and all the cancelling switches work correctly but it doesn't hold the speed I set it to. Is there something else I am forgetting to look ...

Re: Free GL1500 Shifter Pivot

Sometimes it's better to read the terms, I didn't register before I posted earlier, so now I'm ready to get my shifter brace. I'll even pay for the postal fees to Iceland ;-)

Hi all
Now I'm a bit confused os there a way to adjust front fork air pressure?

Re: Front wheel bearings

For the bearings this is a general part number.
For the seals this is the size of them in millimeters.

Hi all Now I´ve put about 200 miles on my 1500 and I´m just loving it, every now and then I think I hear some strange noise from the front end and I think it´s the wheel bearings and I´m about to change them. Here in Iceland I can´t get a set of bearings so does someone know the numbers on those bea...

Re: 1100 sold search for 1500

Hi again guys Well the highway number 1 that goes around Iceland is 832 miles, so I was close to it when I got the wing :D I had my first test ride today and this bike is awesome to ride compare to my old 1100. The power in this flat 6 is so smooth it´s sometimes unbelivable and I think it needs one...

Re: 1100 sold search for 1500

Thanks, it´s imported from USA in 2003 and all the decorations the blue and the pink are hand painted on it, I didn´t like it at first and thought of removing it but now I just love it, It gives the bike a personality no other wing has. Hopefully tomorrow I can take it for a little spin around town.

1100 sold search for 1500

Hi all out there I just sold my 1100 wing last week and now I'm looking for a 1500 to replace it. Here in Iceland I don´t have many bikes to choose from but I´ve found two in my price range. I found a 1992 aspencade with 70.000 miles on it timing belts and all fluids changed last summer tires are go...

Re: 84 1200 engine into 83 Aspencade - how hard?

I have a 83 interstate with 86 1200 engine and it works fine.It looks to me to be the original
driveshaft and all the motormounts look like original.
My ride has been like this for many years, when I talked to
the po he said it wasn't to much work.

Re: GL1100 VS GL1200 SEI

Thanks a lot for these info, but is there great different between the handling of a GL 1100 and a GL 1200? The 1200 is outweighed by the 1100 but is it harder to handle? And yes the SEI has a fuel injected engine and from what I have read it is alright silk smooth and no hesitation and quite reliabl...

Re: Dodge Neon Coil Compatability

HI all I found one solution in this coil problem I think I´m going to try out, I´m a member in a v4honda board and there I got the idea to use modern coils from a CBR 600. The coils are directly on top of the spark plug and wires just like the old coil two and two together. I´ll post a link of the p...

Electrical quiestion

Last weekend I took my wing on a three day tour around part of Iceland and we hit all kinds of weather and all kinds of roads, and all in all my wing just did fine if wee look at it like it is it´s 30 years old and has done 80.000km. But a fellow rider has an extra led lights on his tail and I´ve be...

Re: 86 wing to lean

Hi all I put a washer 1mm thick under the needle and it got a lot better so I´m going to leave it at that for now, but when the season is over I´m going to get a carb overhaul kit and dig my way all the way in and hopefully it will be just like new after that. I´m also noticing a hung idle that goes...

Re: 86 wing to lean

Isn't the main jet needle just out from the bottom of the slides? It can be reached without removing carbs on my bike at least.
Maybe I don' understand correctly.
