Re: Crazy Starter Issue

Uodate; I recently had my fuel tank derusted and coated, changed my fuel filter tonight and it had fine trash in it, nothing like I had before my tank cleaning but still an issue. Guess I will be changing the filter at every oil change or less, for awhile. Wing starts right up and so far so good. I ...

Re: Crazy Starter Issue

I am not a mechanic, is this the same as the relays that are sold on this web site? Is it a unplug and plug device? I saw the diagram, but I am not really sure what I am looking for, or where the relay is located. Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Crazy Starter Issue

Thanks, definitely will after I find out all the damage that is done. Of course the bike is 25 years old and only has 45000 miles on it. I have put 24000 on it.

Crazy Starter Issue

So I had a first on my 94 1500 the other day. I lost power, may be a fuel filter issue, haven't got that far yet to check it out. I let the bike rest and attempted to restart which it did, but cut off when I attempted to give it some throttle. I tried to start again and the starter would not disenga...

Re: Skyline Drive Trip and BR Parkway

We ran into very little traffic on both Skyline and the BRP. There is a lot of tree damage on both but roads were clear. We road as far South as Fancy Gap. We completed our ride of the BRP, as we have done it all in sections. We did all of Skyline North to South and will do it again, South to North ...

Re: Skyline Drive Trip and BR Parkway

Thanks, it was an awesome trip. We me new friends and had a great time. Weather mostly fantastic except for some popup thunderstorms. Cant wait to do it again. There was a lot of damaged trees along the roadside both on Skyline Drive and the Parkway, but it was all open.

Re: USA Trailer Store

Well I am glad to say that I am very happy with my purchase. Yes it is made in China, yes the grease fittings are not standard size and there were two missing lugnuts ( they quickly sent me five replacements) the shipping company made arrangements to have it delivered when I was available to accept ...

Thank you, looking to possibly purchase but have read some poor reviews. Just looking for anyone that has purchased a trailer and what experience they had with them. Thanks for sharing your experience.

USA Trailer Store

Has any had any dealings with the USA Trailer Store in SC, and has any bought a trailer from them? I am looking at the Lumina Diamond XL to pull with my GL1500.

Skyline Drive Trip and BR Parkway

My wife and are planning a trip late April to travel to Front Royal Virginia and ride Skyline Drive to where the Parkway begins and take the parkway to Ashe County. Any suggestions for places to see along the way or places to stay? We are hoping to camp along our way instead of staying in hotels or ...

Soon to be trailer winger

So I have ordered a hitch and wiring harness for my 94 GL1500. My wife and I love to travel, and really want to camp along our adventures on our wing. We just cannot pack to accommodate the 2 of us for a week long trip on the bike alone, so I have decided to look at a trailer to pull our camping stu...

Re: Time to "poke the bear"

I used to replace a battery once a year until I got my battery tender junior. Now I can go at least 3 years before replacing and that usually happens if i have to park the bike for a week without it hooked up.

Re: How to tie down Goldwings for transport

Is this still the recommended way to tie down a 1500? I have to trailer mine this week and I am fairly nervous about the trip. I do not have tie downs on the floor. Was planning to utilize the front lip and sides of trailer to attach the straps to. It is difficult to see in the pics if he actually t...

Re: DO NOT PURCHASE METZLER TIRES !

I had a rear Metzler tire blow out a year ago on my 1500 with my wife onboard at 70mph. Luckily got it to the shoulder without wrecking. I had to put a Metzler back on it since we were out of town after 5pm and had no options at the time. Need a front tire now and need suggestions on a replacement f...
