WTB driver floorboards & passenger armrests

I am in the process of buying an 08 GL1800 trike; want to buy driver floorboards w/heal-toe shifter. Prefer Add On brand but KuryAkyn or Rivco will do. Also want to buy passenger armrests. Prefer KuryAkyn but other brands will work I guess. Contact me via PM with pics, price w/shipping (to 78056). T...

GPS suggestions

Don't have a lot of money so I am looking for a lower cost solution to my GPS purchase. I have a couple of car GPS units but can't see the screen during bright daylight and can't hear the voice instructions (I wear open face helmet with no wires or bluetooth) with either. Anyone have a reasonably pr...

Made one mistake... the banjo crush washers needed are M10; not M8. Sorry.

Clutch Slave Cylinder overhaul

I was on my way to lunch after church on our 1997 GL1500A Roadsmith trike. Shifting was growing progressively harder and when I had to stop, the trike wanted to creep. I knew immediately that I had a clutch issue. After lunch, I opened the master cylinder and it was almost empty. I refilled and bled...

Re: alternator output 2.63

I am not really too familiar with alternators but shouldn't there be 3 wires w/AC coming off the alternator and if you pull the connector with these wires off with the bike turned off, do a continuity check on each leg; that is A to B then A to C then B to C and if you see any continuity, the plasti...

The only NON OEM lights added are an LED array that I wired in direct off the tail light running light wire. They are mounted under the trunk for added visibillity.

Re: #$%%^&!! Bad gas, again?!?

Seafoam is a petroleum distillate and is intended for breaking up crud on your valves and perhaps some deposits in your carburetors and will have no effect on a fuel with water. You folks living up in Canada probably know more about dry gas than I do but that is what I would use in lieu of draining ...

trailer hitch wiring harness

I had my 97 GL1500A triked two years ago and as part of the package, a wiring harness from AddOnAccessories.com was installed but the main lead to the battery was never hooked up. The other day, I purchased a small trailer and connected the positive lead to the battery. This is the wiring harness fr...

Re: fuel lid lock

G159P - pearl sonoma green. If any 1500 owner needs to find their paint code, it is inside their gas cap lid area on a white sticky. I called a Honda dealer and their parts department said there was no way they could match a new lock to an old keyset. rbgerson: I am going to assume that I can put on...

fuel lid lock

I tried to open my fuel lid and the key wouldn't turn. I pried on the plastic and disengaged the lock from the hasp under the radio and took the lock out. There are plastic bits and springs floating so the lock is DEAD. The lock is held on by a clip. The p/n for the lock is 37220-439-007 and seems t...

Re: Possible Faulty Master Cylinder/2000 GL1500SE

There are several brands of speed bleeders; they have a check valve that allows you to hook them up and not have to screw them in between strokes on the pedal. They don't work perfectly but they can be helpful. Almost ALL speed bleeders I have seen have a red thread sealant installed from the factor...

Product Review - seatcover by firma_wijalis

Just bought a seat cover from a Polish company that sells on US eBay and UK eBay. I actually bought the cover from the UK site. Cover was $99 and shipping to Texas $30. They ship out of Europe... Germany I think. Anyway, I was impressed when I saw the cover on eBay and placed my order. I was contact...

Re: COMFORT TECH motorcycle seats

I didn't see this in the eBay ads. I looked at the Hartco website and saw no mention of a "Comfort Tech" seat so can only imagine what level of comfort and quality it is made. I am not sure about Hartco seats either. I don't know anyone who has owned one. I have owned Mutang, Saddleman and Corbin. I...

COMFORT TECH motorcycle seats

See COMFORT TECH motorcycle seats on eBay but google searches of the net don't turn up any hint of a manufacturer. Anybody with first hand experience? They are called "custom seats" in most of the ads. I don't see them for sale outside eBay and can't find a review. The prices are probably less than ...

On one of the two small junk compartment doors on the trunk (towards bike front) there are hinge pins that the doors hinge on. I broke one of the pins. Is there any fix other than replacement of the part?

Re: GL1500 front ends?

I had already found that wingstuff link... try following it. There is no link to Traxxion; only to Progressive Suspension who doesn't make an emulator kit for the 1500. Once you find Traxxion, you find they don't seem to make a kit for the 1500 either and they seem to cost well over $2000 and requir...

GL1500 front ends?

The front end on my GL1500 trike could use some help. Sure, I could put some new Progressive springs and that would surely help but Racetech a sells Gold Valve Cartridge Emulator Kit for the 1988-94 GL1500. First, anyone have experience with this kit? Anyone have a spare seat I could rent or borrow for about a month in the San Antonio/Austin area for about a month? Re: Need Bearings Bad Please Help

Most of the US Honda places get their parts from the same warehouse and if that place is out, check with the warehouse in Japan. There is a place in Europe that says they have the bearings in stock: http://www.cmsnl.com/products/bearing-e-main_13325371003/ Doesn't hurt to check with them; I have pur...

Re: Disassemble left hand switch gear

Hard to get a handle on where to start trouble shooting this type problem. As I said, there are three wires coming off the back of the switch... ground and one power wire for the up and one for the down function. There was dielectric grease that had goo-ed up in the switch and I am sure didn't help ...

Two M5 screws hold the halves of the left hand switch gear and then another M5 screw holds the CB tune and radio tune components that sit above. The latter screw is only accessible once you have the two halves apart. Once the two halves are apart and the 3rd screw is loose, the top of the CB tune "b...

Disassemble left hand switch gear

My CB radio doesn't seem to change channels. It did when I first got my GL1500A about 4 months ago and I suspect the switch is gummed up.
