Issues solved. ...the cause was bad petrol from the petrol station. ..tank drained . Screenshot_2018-06-02-19-39-42.png ............. carbs are being rebuilt with new everything ....on the plus side I now have new coils /spark igniters /cam belts and tensioners and springs soon be back on the road 😀😀😀

So, the struggle so far. Issue was fading under load ,plugs/ht leads /coils/spark igniters all changed ......cam belts / tensioners /springs all changed timing is spot on head gaskets changed .still have a problem with fading /struggling around 3500/4500 revs....any ideas gratefully received as I'm ...

Thank you ,I'm thinking along the same lines .it looks like I have 2 issues ..1, missing under load at 3000-4000 rpm.(tickover is good )plugs/leads/coils / igniters all changed no difference . And the antifreeze issue ?

After the bike has been sitting for 1-2 days there are 2 small pools of anti freeze /rad fluid right under the engine on either side (under plugs) could this be head gasket or water pump . Gl11 00 82 ...could this also be a symptom of losing power under load .thanks

Someone mentioned it may be the head gasket is this possible .I'm floundering here any help appreciated thanks

Problem NOT solved .it's still missing at 3000/4000 revs ,bogs down like fuel starvation I've changed plugs/caps/HT leads/coils /spark igniters /fuel lines/fuel filter. Don't know what else to do any help appreciated thanks ....it ticks over smooth

I wasn't 100%sure what they were called .

This may help others. .problem :mis -firing at 3000-4000revs similar to fuel starvation loss of power then picks up again. ..solution after changing plugs/caps/leads .checking coils the issue was a bad cdi unit .replaced it now runs sweet ..

So .I'm recovering from a broken clavicle 5 weeks so far .bored so bored .anyway put a new battery in the bike .not thinking straight fitted back to front sparked .now no power at all .checked fuses under tank all good I'm blaming the drugs ,can't ride it anyway. I ride all year round in the UK. The expansion tank is full, the radiator is full and clean .at the moment it's 7-8° here so not hot,question is why after riding a couple of miles my temp gauge reads in the centre and the fan kicks in ....I've checked the overflow tube from the expansion tank all go...

As stevenrikki said ,I bought a ricks 4 brush starter motor for my gl1 100 a few years ago still works great ,only need to touch the button ...you may need a longer lead from the starter as the connection is at the back (towards front of bike)

I seem to be loosing pressure in my front tyre, the valve is good ,the tyre only has 3000 miles on it ,no puntures/splits from 36 psi it goes down to 22/24 over a period of a week would it be the rim ...as I have no idea what else to look for .thanks

Thanks for the reply .would the headlight switch just slot in because the wiring in the one without the switch would keep the lights on .i think as this is not my area of knowledge cheers tom

My right side handlebar switch has a crack on the lower half ...I've been looking for a replacement one and the only ones available do not have the switch to turn the lights on/off
