Re: Do you look thru

Sadly my wife and I are the same height 5’10’’ so she sits higher than I do lol but it’s all good. We also have an 85 Yamaha Seca Turbo she use to fall asleep on the back that’s why I had to get the wing so she wouldn’t fall off.

Re: Do you look thru

I'm just curious if anyone has considered passenger comfort? My wife is quite tall(and beautiful) and with the stock gl1500 windscreen was severely affected by buffeting after about 50 miles of highway she would get a severe headache so I went with the old barn door windscreen and she now actually e...

Re: Honda disgraced themselves with the 2018 Goldwing

A little late reading the news letter but I loved this article. Recently had the time to go look at the new Wing and test drive it. With all the hype I have been hearing all year I was sorely disappointed and unimpressed with the 2018. I only rode the bike for about an hour but could not get comfort...

Re: O/D light inop and cruise inop

Update to my issue. Appears the O/D light going out and the cruise control inop was just a coincident. Clutch lever bushing has enough play in it that the switch was not closing also have to squeeze/jiggle the clutch lever when starting in gear (duh!) I'm thinking I should probably fix this issue. L...

Re: O/D light inop and cruise inop

Thank you. I never thought to try 4th. I’m normally on the interstate when I use cruise so I’m allways in 5th.

O/D light inop and cruise inop

Sunday I rode out to my son's house and I noticed my O/D light wasn't working got on the road and noticed cruise not working too. Checked my Clymer manual for cruise issu...

Re: New 2018 Goldwing Survey

I have been an avid fan of Honda since I was about 7 years old(long long time ago)and fell in love with the goldwing when I saw my first one in 1975. I have loved almost every improvement made. I wasn't overly impressed with the GL1800 but i looked good. I am totally disappointed in the new wing I u...

Re: Radio reception

I have checked all my connections but plan on doing so again this weekend. I can't help thinking it is a connection because it was fine until I changed the rear tire last weekend. I've had the seat off twice and found nothing ohmed the ant. cable no short to ground and continuity where it belongs so...

Radio reception

So I've always been reasonably satisfied with the radio on my 88 wing but all of the sudden my reception has gone wonky. I'm still getting the stations it just has a lot of static like am channels. I've checked all my antena connections its all good. Same stations come in fine in my truck. It isn't ...

Re: Loosing control

Great news! I have finaly gotten around to installing the new/used 416's on my baby it's like having a new bike again. I'm so impressed that I hope to someday soon convince my wife that we need the new progressive springs for the front. Many thanks to everyone's advice and special thanks to BiggerDa...

Re: Loosing control

Somewhat good news! I believe with everyones help the problem is found. I weigh a considerable undisclosed amount(dr says if I loose five pounds I'll be overweight) and bouncing on the seat there is no rear suspension travel. I pulled the bags off put a long board under the rear tire and lifted the ...

Thanks Wingadmin. I think you have me pointed in the right direction. Tonight I'll pull the bags off and start scutinizing things a little more closely after all it does have over a 100k on it.

Re: Loosing control

Thanks for the info. Those are some great track day solutions and very helpful having all in one place. Unfortunately none of those are the problems I'm experiencing. I've been riding this bike a little over 4 years 52k miles and have never had a problem with stability, handling is on par with the be...
