Re: Contact for Blackwing Eng.

I think your holes were incorrect, not the M7 bolts that were delivered with the brace. Mine was perfect with the M7 bolts...........

Re: Fuel hatch lock broken

That thought crossedmy mind too, but it's made for boats and outdoor use. Plus, while i'm driving not much water can come in. As a bonus for me, my bike is resting indoors and usually doesn't get wet. When it does i'm on vacation or on a tour with friends who are all afraid of riding in the wet :lol...

I wouldn't take a chance on this one. The GL1500 is not listed as a bike on wich this part would fit on partzilla, so for me that's a no go

Fuel hatch lock broken

The lock of my fuel hatch is broken. I've replaced it for the lock from the right pocket, but now i don't have a working lock over there ofcourse. Is there a known solution for this problem? I am not looking for a replacement lock as it would require a new key too. Simple solutions often work the be...

I've done it once, after the same mistake. Made a long pick from a piece of steel and eventually managed to open the saddlebag. A pita? You bet it was, but it is doable...................

You did synchronise the carbs, did you? I know that the earlier year models had an issue with the carbs regarding idle and surging, maybe make a search on the sit in that direction?

Personally i would use the existing wires as i am not using the old radio 3ver again, but you can opt for new wiring too offcourse. I think it’s what you want for yourself....

If you think the shifter pivot is too expensive for your taste you can always produce one for yourself. I did it and am using it for 20000km without problems.

It's either the wheel or the complete top including all equipment that is on top of your fender..... I would take the wheel out, less work..... And easier acces!

New colour for my Wing

We (my wife and i) have been thinking what to do; buy a 'new' GL1800, or another bike. I must confess i really dislike the 1800's appearance and its fairly cramped seating position (for me) so the choice was made to keep the old lady for a while and invest some coin in to it. Below the result and i ...

These temperature gauges lead a life of there own, every one gives a different reading... Mine doesn't go up this far in the middle of summer at 30 dgr celsius after 150 km......
I wouldn't take it too serious, as long as the fans work when hot all is OK.
